VINAY B. RAGHAVENDRA Dr. Vinay B. Raghavendra, completed his M.Sc. in 2001 and Ph.D. Biotechnology in 2009. Later, he joined as an Assistant Professor in the P.G. Department of Biotechnology in 02nd March 2009 till date. Teresian College was re-accredited by NAAC with an A+ with 3.45 CGPA in 2020, which is af\ufb01liated with the University of Mysore, Mysuru. He has a vast experience in Microbiology, Molecular biology, proteomics and Genomics, Genetic engineering, Molecular Plant Pathology, Nanoscience and Technology, and Plant Biotechnology. He has published nearly 60 research papers in SCOPUS, Web of Science, and UGC-Carelist journals. In 2013, he was awarded a \\\"Travel Grant Award\\\" for teachers from the University Grants Commission, New Delhi for a paper presentation in Belgium (Europe). Later, he was awarded a highly prestigious \\\"Raman fellowship\\\" for postdoctoral fellowship in the United States of America (University of Califor-nia, Davis) for a period of one year in 2014-15 sponsored by the University Grants Commission in New Delhi. Furthermore, in 2013-16, he has successfully completed the UGC major project sponsored by UGC. In 2019, he has selected for a \\\"Summer research fellowship for teachers\\\" sponsored by the Indian National Science Academy. In 2020, his research paper presentation was awarded with Best Paper Award, which was presented at an international conference held in Faridabad, Haryana. Other than this, he is currently working as a Coordinator for the P.G. Department of Biotechnology, Coordinator for Unnat Bharat Abhi-yan sponsored by MHRD, New Delhi, and P.G. diploma courses (under skill development programme) and also a fellow member of many professional bodies in India and abroad, also serves as an editorial board for many reputed journals. DR. RACHITHA P. Dr. Rachitha P. is an Assistant Professor in the PG Department of Biotechnology, Teresian college af\ufb01liated to University of Mysore, Mysuru. She received her B.Sc, degree in applied biology from Yuvaraja's College, Mysuru and her M.Sc, and Ph. D degrees in Biotechnology, from University of Mysore. Dr. Rachitha has taught courses in Biochemistry, Molecular biology, proteomics and gene technology. Her research activities are focused on Toxicology studies, Cytotoxicity, Nanobiotechnology, Cancer biology and Drug delivery studies. For past seven years her research group has studied the cellular and molecular mechanism of bioactive compounds in neutralizing the toxicity of mycotoxins. Her recent research involves on Nano- fabrication of cell-penetrating peptides to target cancer cells.
