The theme of the book is, it is based on the travelling of a person from a middle class family to the missile man and President of India.
SUMMARY Abdul Kalam is the main charecter of the book. It covers early life of Abdul Kalam and his work in Indian space research and missile programs. The author, by narrating his life journey evokkes the reader to identify with one's inner fire and potential, for he was the firm belief that each on of us was born with the strength and potential to make a tangible change in the world. How he inspired himself to achieve hi dream and how he went about accomplished so much is what the book captures nicely. The book recolects many anecdotes and stories from childhood, his time at school and collage, He wrotethe time spent at the Langley Research centre, NASA and Wallops Flight Facility gets a lot of attention. I tells lot about behind the scenes information and technical details about India's Sattelite and missile ( SLV - 3, PRITHVI, AGNI, TRISHUL, AKASH and NAG ). Book contains many of his poems . The second of the book deals with the author, the scientist who made developing the countries guided missile programs, a pioneering effort for the security of the nation. It's not with the reason that he was nicknamed the ' MISSILE MAN OF INDIA '
ANALYSIS One of the thins that stands out through out the book is Kalam's POSITIVE THINKING. The secret to hi success seems to be his ability to ignore negative things around him. Similarly one should ignore all the negative things around him tin order to succeed.
CONCLUSION Book is best suited for reading for teenagers and youths to dream and dare. It shows, how a person from a modest background ends up being the first citizen of a nation of one billion. In this book, there is something that everybody can extract from and worthy of being read by every Indian. A very detailed description of how great things can be achieved through simple thoughts. All should read this book for not only knowing what this legend did for the nation but also for acknowledging that one can make their dreams come true if he wills to do so. i will suggest never miss reading thsi book.
