Important and Exciting News! 60 th Annual Meeting of the Members On Tuesday, March 22nd, we had our 60th Annual Meeting of the Members. We discussed all our successes in 2021 and some projects the Credit Union has in store for 2022. We recognized our two employees of the year, Amanda Howe and Alyssa Barragan, as well as all our employee milestones, ranging from five to fifteen years. Check this out! Financial Literacy Our kids saving account mascot, Manny, and employees Amanda and Alyssa taught 112 fifth-graders the importance of money management! They taught them how to write checks, the difference between a debit and credit card, how to save their money, and so much more! It’s important to educate the youth, so they can be prepared for their future! Manny Mudbug Savings Accounts Our awesome member, Allie, has officially outgrown the Kids’ Club Account! With scams on the rise, we are sharing some tips to avoid becoming a victim. - You should only use Zelle to send money to family, friends, and other people you trust - Verify the phone number or email address is accurate prior to sending money - If you receive a call or text asking you to send money now, stop and think before you send - Do not call back to a phone number that the caller says is accurate - Call the company the caller claims to be from by a phone number listed on the official website - Verify your account status with the company prior to making payments - Utilities companies do not usually take payment by Zelle - In the payment process, Zelle verifies the name associated with the phone number or email for added security – make sure it matches - Call us before you send payment if you are uncertain, and we will happily assist you Pay it safe this summer!

Chocolate Bayou Gives Back Throughout the First Quarter of 2022, we gave back to our members, the community, and more! National Law Enforcement Day We showed support by buying some yummy Chick-Fil-A for our Alvin and Pearland Police Officers! Thank you for everything you all do for our communities! Alvin Turtle Race & Fun Run In February, we sponsored two campuses for the Alvin Turtle Race & Fun Run, as well as having a booth to see all our wonderful members! Dr. James “Red” Duke Elementary Carnival National Puppy Day We had a great time playing cornhole with families We had a wonderful time visiting the Alvin at the Dr. James “Red” Duke Elementary Carnival! Animal Adoption Center - Alvin, TX and City of Pearland - Animal Services to donate supplies and puppy food! Thank you for all you both do for the fur babies! Forgotten Angels Foundation Pearland Packet Pick-Up & Half Marathon Our employees generously donated over We loved sponsoring the Pearland Packet Pick-Up 20 bags/boxes full of clothes, purses, toys, & Half Marathon! The race was held at Independence and more to the Forgotten Angels Foundation Park, and it was awesome seeing all the runners! in Pearland! It brings us so much joy to help such a wonderful organization!
