MEANING... It is a statement of quantity that has the same meaning, that is, few but has different uses, where few and a few are plural countable nouns, while little and a little are used with uncountable nouns.
LITTLE AND A LITTLE A little is more than little. We use a little and little + an uncountable noun. • Little is a negative idea. It means 'nearly none, nearly nothing'. We can also use very little. Ex. I can't help you. I speak little English. • A little is a positive idea. It means 'not much, but some'. Ex. I can help you: I speak a little English.
FEW AND A FEW A few is more than few. We use a few and few + a plural countable noun. • Few is a negative idea. It means 'almost none'. We can also use very few. Ex. He has few friends, so he is very lonely. • A few is a positive idea. There are few, but there are still some. Ex. I have a few books, I can lend you one.
