Content Theme - India 2 New Year Christmas Activities Republic Day KINDERWISE

Theme-India The theme for the month of January was “All about India”. Both KG1 and KG2 bulletin boards reflected this theme. Each class board was done up differently to portray the culture and traditions of our Motherland India. During this month the children were taught many different things about India, like the national symbols, Important personalities, famous monuments, culture and traditions. Different art and craft activities conducted in the classes related to this theme. The children were also taken around the corridors of the Kindergarten Department to give them a tour of all the bulletin board displays. This was a great visual learning experience for them. We also celebrated Republic Day on 24th January which was a vibrant and Colourful event. All in all this month was a fun filled and eventful month for the children. KINDERWISE 3

New Year Editorial “The New Year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written……….” We believe 2018 was a brilliant and eventful year for each one of us. The New Year brings a lot of hope, new expectations and opportunity. It gives us an opportunity to look back and learn from the experiences. Once again we promise to march on with courage and strength.. We thank each one of our parents for the encouragement and support you provided us last year. Let us, hand-in-hand ,continue to nurture our kids with more values and life skills. We look forward your unstinting support in the future. New Year Celebration We started the New year in a very special way to make the beginning a memorable one. After a chilling winter break, the school reopened on 6th January 2019. Our kindergarten kids looked lovely in their colourful attire. Once again the corridors filled with laughter and chatter. They had a special assembly where we had students “Meet and Greet“ with New Year wishes. They also took New Year resolution. The KG 1 students made Santa Claus and KG 2 students made Christmas trees as group activity. The day ended with sweet distribution. KINDERWISE 4

Jai Hind!! 70th Republic Day was celebrated with all its values and honour on 24th January 2019. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity, freedom & patriotism. The program started with the India map formation by our kindergarten students. The School Principal, Ms. Indu Panicker unfurled the Tricolor. The Kinder choir sang the National Anthem followed by Indian Pledge. Various cultural activities was performed by our tiny Indian citizens to mark this beautiful day. The folk dance from four respective regions (North, East, West & South) of India was performed. The four little leaders participated in tableau to pay homage and respect to our great Indian leaders and freedom fight- ers.. The skit titled “United, We Stand-Maa Tujhe Salaam” was the other spectacular event enacted by our tiny artists. The program concluded by singing the patriotic song “Saare Jahan Se Achcha” by our kindergarten students. KINDERWISE 9
