Back to SchoolOur little tiny tots are back, full of zeal and enthusiasm aftera refreshing summer break. It was a much awaited momentfor the kindergarten department, as we welcomed them backwith a smile to take this fruitful journey forward from12 Sep-tember 2018.KINDERWISE 3

Supermarket Children love to imitate all the things we adults do! Keeping this strategy and based on monthly theme “Food” we left no stones unturned. Weopened a mini supermarket store in our kindergarten wing as ameans to support learning opportunities outside the classroom walls.The opening ceremony was on 17 September 2018 and it was inaugu-rated by school Principal Ms.Indu Panicker. The supermarket haddifferent sections such as, Customer Service Representative, cashiers.It also had different food counters for Fruits & Vegetables, grainsPulses & Dairy Products.KINDERWISE 4

Lemonade Day“WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS, MAKE LEMONADE………” As part of the monthly theme “Food,” Wise Kindergarten celebrated LEMONADE DAY on 18 September 2018. The lemonade was supplied to teachers, students and visitors of our school by our students. Most of our students got an opportunity to serve and run a small lemonade shop for the day.The demonstration on “HOW TOMAKE LEMONADE” was shownto Kindergarten students byteachers. The lemonade wasserved to all students and theyenjoyed the healthy drink.KINDERWISE 5

Nutrition talkHealthy living= Healthy Eating habitsOn 23rd September 2018, nutritional talk was held inkindergarten activity room for our students to know howimportant it is to eat healthy to live a healthy life. Thesession was conducted by our school nurse Mrs. RemyaXavier. She described about five different food types , it’sbenefits and showed a presentation about causes of obesi-ty. She also encouraged our students to include morephysical exercise to their daily lives.KINDERWISE 6

Sensory WalkSensory Walk has a vital role in a child's mental and physicalgrowth. Sensory Walk pathway created in Kindergarten Wingpassage way makes learning fun as it involves lot of physicalactivities The numeracy , letters and concepts are main high-lights. It's a centre of attraction among the little ones.KINDERWISE 7

Choose my plateIn order to introduce children to choose healthy food, we had anactivity, “Choose My Plate”. With the support of our parents andchildren, the day went well. The activity was conducted in therespective classrooms on 20th September 2018. The main objectivewas to make the children differentiate between healthy and un-healthy food habits.KINDERWISE 8
