He has many years of experience related to physical, inorganic, analytical and environmental chemistry and was involved in the development of the Master in Environmental Science (Land Use and Water Resource Management) and supervised many research students at BSc, Master and PhD levels. He has also conducted numerous short courses on environmental awareness programmes, water and wastewater sampling and analyses, environmental management, laboratory safety and security, environmental impact assessment and ecological sanitation with agencies such as NREB, Institut Kimia Malaysia, DOE, UNIMAS, and Sarawak Timber Association.
