We are a daughter company of BerkmanHolding, a more than a century old enterprise in The Netherlands.Where it all beganBerkman Forwarding BV in Netherlands was established in 1988 and within few years, theybecame one of the major players in Asia – Europe Business Trade. The management, beingextremely service minded, always believed in working either through their own offices orexclusive partners/associates. They started their own China operations in 1998 andconsidering the potential India market had to offer, the first branch in New Delhi wasincorporated in 2004.TodayToday Berkman Forwarding has grown to a mid‐size freight forwarder with fourteen (14)offices in eight (8) countries. Worldwide we work with more than 70 exclusive and reliablepartners; serving over 2000 satisfied customers and handling an volume of more than1,00,000 Teu's a year.FutureBerkman Forwarding has managed to achieve success throughout the economic downturnand has plans in place to expand even further in the near future. Our aim is to open a newoffice every year. Joint venture in Australia with BR International in 2014 strengthened theworldwide network. The company now aims at starting more offices in USA, Mexico andSouth America.We realize that today’s evolution becomes tomorrow’s expectation. And thus, we areconstantly working on creating unique and end‐to‐end supply chain solutions for our clients.We have recently diversified into warehousing, pick‐and‐pack and direct distribution. In thelast few years, we have also implemented a supply chain solution based on building in Chinadirect‐to‐store containers / deliveries to India and the rest of the world.
