序言 P R E FAC E 序 言 Preface 自從德國在 2011 年提出了「工業 4.0」的概念，研究透過互聯網和物聯網，建立高效率、高靈 活性的智能工廠，智能製造就在全球迅速發展，已成為製造業的重要發展趨勢，推動形成嶄新的生 產方式。中國製造業要維持原有工業發展基礎，同步帶動業界朝向高增值升級轉型，推行智能和綠 色製造。 在全球大力提倡智能製造的趨勢下，今期《金屬製造》以智能製造應用為題，讓香港金屬製造 企業了解如何逐步實踐智能製造的應用，從而邁向「工業 4.0」。我們邀請業界翹楚及專家，以宏 觀角度、實際運作及數據分析等多方面，令讀者透過成功企業分享推動和發展「智能製造」應用的 經驗和成效，啟發業界了解現時「智能製造」的發展趨勢，為推動應用智能製造提供參考。 今年也是協會第十三屆理事會成員就職的大日子，因此《金屬製造》將會與就職特刊合併發佈， 同時亦讓各界了解香港金屬製造業協會在過往一年的工作及活動。 Ever since the birth of the concept ‘Industry 4.0’ in Germany, manufacturers have been studying how to leverage the Internet and the Internet of Things to build smart factories to achieve high efficiency and flexibility. The manufacturing industry in China intends to build on the existing manufacturing foundation and make a big move towards high value added through smart and green manufacturing. Riding on the global trend of smart manufacturing, this issue of Metal Made focuses on the application of Smart Manufacturing. This is a meaningful attempt to provide the industry with knowledge in this area and to show us the way towards ‘Industry 4.0’. We have invited industry leaders and experts to share knowledge in applying new methods and technologies in the Smart Manufacturing approach and to review the effectiveness of various tactics. Drawing inspiration from this wealth of knowledge, we strive for better adoption and collaboration in applying Smart Manufacturing in metal manufacturing. We also take this opportunity to celebrate the inauguration of the 13th Executive Committee of Hong Kong Metals Manufacturers Association. This issue is therefore a joint-publication of Metal Made as well as the Inauguration special issue, through which we are pleased to report the Association’s work and activities in the past year. 協會簡介 ABOUT US 協 會 簡 介 ABOUT US 香港金屬製造業協會於一九九四年十二月十五日註冊成立，乃一非牟利商會組織，旨在增進同 業間的聯繫，整體提升金屬製造業的生產技術和管理能力，增加在國際市場上的競爭力，並團結我 業同寅，捍衛業界權益，提升金屬製造業在工業界及社會上之形象。 協會現有會員公司逾七百家，並包括多家具有業內領先地位的香港上市公司，透過定期舉辦各 項活動，包括考察訪問、研討會、組織會員參加展覽、出版刊物、製作網頁等，推動會員之間的技 術交流和促進業界的業務發展。此外，協會不斷與本港、內地及海外各工商組織、專業團體、政府 部門建立聯繫和維持良好合作關係，以反映業界意見，爭取所需支持，促進行業發展。 另外，本會亦積極推動行業的持續長遠發展，故此招收了一批在本港就讀工程或工程相關學系 的本港大專院校學生成為本會的「學生會員」，透過為他們舉辦不同活動，從而更吸引他們於將來 投身工業。 The Hong Kong Metals Manufacturers Association (HKMMA) was established and registered on 15th December 1994 as a non-profit-making trade association. We aim to enhance the association among industry members, upgrade the production techniques and management capability, and strengthen the market competitiveness of the industry as a whole. By uniting industry members, HKMMA is also committed to safeguarding the common interests and promoting the industrial and social image of metals manufacturing industry. We currenty have more than 700 member companies, whereas some of them are listed companies in Hong Kong with leading position among the industry. In order to facilitate communications and technological interchange among member companies, HKMMA regularly organizes study missions, factory visits, seminars and members' participation in related exhibitions. We also publish periodical publications and operate the association website. Moreover, the Association has been keeping in close contacts and maintaining good co-operation relationships with other trade and industrial organizations, professional bodies and related government departments in Hong Kong, the mainland and overseas, so as to voice out industry's concerns and opinions, and seek any necessary support for the development of metals manufacturing industry. Besides, we also strive to enhance the sustainable and long-term development of the industry, therefore we recruited a number of local students who studying engineering or other engineering related programme in Hong Kong to become our student member. To co-ordinate with manufacturers in the mainland and overseas, and assist members in resolving problems on legal matters, property rights and business disputes. 7. 會長獻辭 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN 第十三屆理事會 孫暉銓會長獻辭 承蒙各位厚愛，本人有幸連任成為香港金屬製造業協會第十三屆理事會會長，深感榮幸，衷心感 謝協會理事同仁一直以來對協會及本人的支持，以及感謝協會永遠榮譽會長、榮譽會長、名譽會長、 當屆名譽會長、名譽顧問等多年來對協會工作的支持及指導。未來兩年，本人將繼續帶領新一屆理事 會成員，秉承金協精神及文化，促進會員溝通及交流，推動創新生產技術，提升協會形象和影響力。 傳承金協文化　引領新一代 協會一直堅持“工匠精神”，我們提供平台給各校學生參 觀、學習、交流，提供資金上的幫助，並走進校園舉行講座， 長期引領青少年傳承香港工業文化及傳統精神，而本人企業也 是家族式經營，深深地體會到作為香港工業的後繼人在這樣發 展迅猛的時代下所承擔的壓力，面對工業 4.0 及互聯網時代的 推動，現在的年青人將來會面對更多挑戰，作為老一輩的工業 家，我們應不斷學習新知識，新技能，不被時代淘汰，同時結合 自己的豐富經驗提早洞察危機引導他們走向一條嶄新的道路。 把握機遇　融入國家發展大局 今年是中國改革開放 40 周年，中國從以農業 為主的國家一躍成為世界第二大經濟體，在國際 社會的不同領域上都發揮着極為重要的影響力。 40 年來，香港工業家一直是國家發展的積極貢獻 者，同時國家的改革開放亦成為香港工業及經濟 發展的動力，成就香港經濟轉型。近年粵港澳大 灣區發展備受外界關注，隨著廣深港高鐵、港珠 澳大橋、蓮塘新口岸三大工程陸續竣工，將形成 發達的交通網絡，將大灣區打造成一小時生活 圈，強化香港與內地各大城市之間的聯繫，提 升大灣區的經濟效率和發展潛力。我們需要 把握機遇，融入國家發展大局。 THE HONG KONG METALS MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION 11

會長獻辭 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN 推動再工業化　促進行業發展 香港政府於今年施政報告中提及將投放更多資源，成立「再工業化資助計劃」，以配對形式資助 生產商在港設立智能生產線。為鼓勵業界善用創科、應用智能技術和生產程序進行高端生產，及加速 「再工業化」的實體發展、隨著創科發展和推動研發，高增值的高端製造業其實大有可為。 面對全球營商環境的轉變，香港廠商需要轉型升級，以應對市場需求的改變。近年工業界一直推 動發展工業 4.0，實現自動化、機械化、智能化生產，我們期望協助同業推動智能生產，發展高增值的 產業，促進「再工業化」發展。 迎接挑戰　邁步向前 展望新一年，我定必會帶領新一屆理事會成員繼續表現出高度的凝聚力、向心力，積極為協會出 謀獻策，親力親為執行會務，為會員企業及整個行業發展服務，致力加強會員招募，促進會員聯繫和 經驗交流，同時積極推動工業 4.0 的運用，協助會員同業轉型為自動化及智能化企業，也會關注金屬 打印的發展潛力，舉辦講座和工作坊等，讓更多同業了解金屬打印的應用。我與新一屆理事會成員將 會秉持一貫宗旨，努力團結業界，攜手面對各項挑戰，共謀發展，使協會會務更上一層樓。 12 香港金屬製造業協會

會長獻辭 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN Speech by Suen Fai Chuen, Alan, Chairman of the 13th Executive Committee (2018-2020) Thanks to the tremendous support from you for the HKMMA Executive Committee and for myself, I am honoured to continue as the Chairman of the HKMMA Executive Committee. Special thanks go to the Permanent Honorable Chairmen, Honorable Chairmen, Honorary Chairmen, Honorary Chairmen of this term and Honorary Consultants for their on-going support and guidance. In this 2-year term, I will continue to lead the Executive Committee in living the HKMMA spirit and culture, facilitating communications among members, pushing forward with manufacturing innovation and raising the profile and influence of the Association. Leading the Way for the New Generation With the spirit of craftsmanship we offer opportunities for students to visit, learn from and exchange ideas with us. In addition, we provide financial support and seminars to inform and inspire the younger generation to join us in preserving Hong Kong’s manufacturing heritage with a spirit to serve the community. Running a family business, I deeply empathise with those who inherit the industries in Hong Kong, operating in the world of rapid development. The younger generation will face even more challenges in view of changes brought forth by Industry 4.0 in the Internet era. Established industrialists like us should continue to absorb new knowledge and skills, and combine them with our vast experience in leading the way in the industry. Grasp the Opportunities with Mainland China This year marks the 40th anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening, which transformed China from an agriculture-oriented country to the second largest economy and a highly influential player in the world. Hong Kong industrialists have been keen contributors to this cause, while empowering Hong Kong’s industry and economy with the country’s robust transformation. In line with the Greater Bay Area and One Belt, One Road strategic moves, it is crucial that we innovate to increase productivity, raise corporate profile, respond to market changes and take part in the country’s latest developments. 會長獻辭 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN Strengthening Industries through Re-industrialisation In the latest Policy Address, the government proposes to support the industry with a ‘Re-industrialisation Funding Scheme’, with financial allocations to be matched with manufacturers who intend to establish smart assembly lines in Hong Kong. Leveraging innovation, application of smart technologies and manufacturing methods, combined with re-industrialisation, innovation and increased R&D, we see highly encouraging signs in high-end manufacturing. In response to the rapidly-changing needs in the global marketplace, we need to upgrade and transform our operations. Industry 4.0 has been a keen initiative for us to become more automated, mechanic and smart in manufacturing. We hope to collaborate with the industry in pushing for smart and high-value-added manufacturing, in our purposeful movement towards re-industrialisation. Our Way Forward Let us get together and contribute ideas to the Association. It is my pleasure to lead the Executive Committee and serve the industry and our member enterprises. We hope to see all of you in our efforts of recruiting new members, fostering communications and exchange of ideas, applying Industry 4.0 in practice, assisting our members in their transformations towards smart manufacturing, monitoring the trend of metal printing with great potential, organizing seminars and workshops, enabling our members to learn more about the latest technologies, and much more. During this term, I will continue to work alongside the Executive Committee in uniting the industry, dealing with various challenges and leading by example in our way forward.   14 香港金屬製造業協會
