Dear Abigail, Wow, I am grateful. Who knew what one game of pool at the RPAC the first week of freshman year at Ohio State would lead to? From that game, I have found a forever friend. And now it’s your 21st birthday!!!! I’m wishing you the happiest of birthdays today, friend. I’ve loved every single one of our adventures from OUAB events to Amish Country to Taste of OSU to touring with you to late night Buckeye Donuts trips to parties to sunflower fields to dining halls to football games to being your roommate. I’m so grateful to have experienced so much of Ohio State with you.

Some of my absolute best college memories are with you, and now that our time at OSU is beginning to wind down (ouch, that feels awful), I’m realizing just how lucky I’ve been to have you in my life. I’m sorry that you have to spend your birthday in quarantine, but I hope that you still get to do something fun! Happy Birthday Abby! I hope that you have a great day, even in quarantine. I'm sure that we will talk sometime today, but I wanted to write a little something about how much our friendship means to me. It seems crazy that we met almost a year ago through ambassador training. I believe our first conversation was about how just wanted to be certified already because we felt we knew everything already and its history from there. Thank you for always being there whether to just talk, to rant, or just to rant about the craziness that has been this past year. Hola my Spanish Buddy! ;) HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I absolutely cannot believe you are turning 21 years old!!! Where does the time go?! It feels like just yesterday we were in eighth grade having a blast in Spanish together! Abby, your friendship has been such a constant gift in my life. No matter how crazy our lives get- like if I am overwhelmed with research and you are off traveling to another country lol- we still always find the time to catch up with each other. Because of that, I know our friendship will last a lifetime, and that brings me so much joy. I am SO blessed to have a friend like you. Having a friend like Abby Krummel essentially means being treated with more love and encouragement than you would think is possible! I still can’t believe you took the time to write me a card (and I am assuming many other people as well!) during this insane pandemic. That really goes to show the love you have for others, and how you are willing to sacrifice your own time simply to make others smile. The way you treat others is the sweetest reminder of Jesus’s love for us. Thank you thank you thank you for laughing with me, crying with me (usually me crying and you comforting me because you don’t really cry as much lmao), supporting me through everything I do, and always being down to crush me in a round of Dutch Blehtz! ;) You make life such an adventure, it’s hard to think of just one special memory we have together...so here’s a few!! Dancing at eighth grade formal together, struggling to learn our Spanish ABCs, trying on our marching band uniforms for the first time, playing in the pit, working at Service2Facilities, watching the eclipse, dressing as dwarves, going to many many football games...and soon to be graduating college!!! I’m smiling so much as I reflect on these memories because it is so heartwarming to know how much more special they were because I was experiencing them with you. You always know how to cheer me up, and you always provide a listening ear when I need it. You are one of the most dependable, consistent friends I have ever had, and I hope you know how much I appreciate the place you have in my life.
