SLIDE 1-3 Argument about the importance of English in the maritime industryI think mastery of English in the maritime industry is very important and useful. Because English itself is an international language that is often used for communication in many countries and English is also often used to communicate effectively in the port environment and on ships, for those who want to work on foreign ships. Therefore, we as sailors must be able to master English in this era in order to become competent.

SLIDE 4-6 Self-competence prepares to work in the maritime world, especially port management and administrationThe maritime industry is an international scale industry in which there are employment opportunities in this increasingly developed and developing era. I personally want to be part of the maritime industry, so from now on I am preparing myself by studying at theYogyakarta Maritime College. It was my first time to dive into maritime knowledge. Therefore, I try to maximize myself on this opportunity by studying earnestly, joining/making friends in a positive environment, being active in organizations, establishing friendships with seniors.

SLIDE 7-10 Personal plans and career developmentMy personal plan is to seek as much knowledge and experience as possible about the maritime industry. I am currently a Yogyakarta Maritime High School cadet majoring in Marine Transportation Management. Where I obtained knowledge of management and administration of files about port agencies and ships. In addition, I also obtained the TOEFL, training and education that will come as a provision for me to work in the maritime industry. Talking about future plans, I want to join an agency engaged in the transportation sector such as ports by finding the certificates needed to increase my competence before entering the world of work. So it's not just port work but I also want to build a land business such as a container/container business and be able to open a loading and unloading agent. And hopefully can become a transportation officer. The plan above is one of my motivations in studying harder to realize my dreams.

SLIDE 11-13 Concluding self compositionThe maritime industry is a large industrial activity with various related technical aspects. The maritime industry consists of the following sectors: ship design, ship construction, marine manufacturing, ship operations and ship repair. This sector is supported by small industries in the form of HR services and other technical services which absorb a lot of workers from the private sector, government and related universities. The development of the maritime industry in Indonesia needs to be followed up clearly in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the process of the manufacturing technology revolution which has a significant effect on human patterns and work. Thus, of course, many jobs will be opened in the maritime industry. And I am ready to compete in the future era by preparing to study seriously and looking for the certificates needed so that I am competent before entering the world of work.
