Necessary Facilities - Each side of the pool will be separated by lane ropes. Teams will switch ends of the pool between every game. How To Initiate Play - To initiate the play of the game, a sinkable object is thrown into the pool by a referee. Objective - The main objective of our game is to score the most points. To do so, each player would need to find the sinkable object in a time limit of 20 seconds.
THE MAIN RULES Each game has a 10 minute limit, with only 20 seconds per round. Teams with the most points in the 10 minutes will be deemed the winner. If the teams are tied, there will be a sudden death game to determine the winner. While the referee is throwing the object into the pool, players are expected to turn their backs to the poolside and ensure that they are not able to see where the object is being thrown. As soon as the object has sunk, the game will commence with the words ‘GO!’, which will be said by the referee. If the object is not found in that 20 seconds time limit, players are expected to be honest and take themselves out when the time comes. Once the player is out, they are expected to stand on the poolside until they are allowed to come back in. Players who have been asked to take themselves out as per the rules are only allowed to be sent back in, if the following happens. They can only come back inside the game, if the object is found within the first eight seconds of that round by a member of their team. Only one player at a time can re-enter.
THE PENALTIES The players must not cross the two seperation lines between each team. If this is the case, the player will be sent out of the game by the referee and will only be allowed to re-enter once a player in their team finds the object in eight seconds or less. Only one player at a time may re-enter. Should the object land between the two halves, the players must elect someone else to re-do that round. In the case in which the object is not found within the time limit by either players, both players will be sent out of the game by the referee and will remain outside until a player in their team finds the object in eight seconds or less. Only one player at a time may re-enter. The rule is that first touch wins the point. This means that no grabbing or roughhousing is permitted once a player has touched the object. In the event that a player does so, three points will be deducted from the team. If a team has less than four players, they must automatically forfeit or lose the match. Players who are not honest and turn their backs to see where the referee has thrown the object will automatically deduct two points from their teams' total. If the players are not found at their scheduled time or are not ready to commence the game, they shall immediately forfeit.
