Kagiso aims to assist people to live their true destinies, “My job is the awakening the gift of others” he says. This is through life coaching in social and emotional intelligence, self-confidence. Kagiso has also been able to speak at international conferences and lives a life of significance. Although he is a professional auditor, he found himself being drawn to helping people, giving people advice and caring about their life purpose. It was this gift and natural ability that encouraged him to step out and honour this business; he says, “The journey is not becoming anything, instead it is me unbecoming everything and going back to my divine calling.” Mphahlele then invested in himself by doing research on the field, attending seminars and webinars and soon saw that people were able to monetise this skill and make a living from it. He continued building the business, building networks, registering, branding and marketing to have Become Prosperity as a functional business. Branding himself and his business assisted in attracting new clients, other coaches and mentors that were able to assist him with knowledge on the tools and resources that were required. We sat down with Mogale to find out about his new business and how he can have a positive outlook on life despite his disability. “I am disabled in my body only and in the places where I am not catered for (e.g. shops). He mentions how farming is a safe space for him, that he can be free on the farm, “One thing that people do is automatically feel the need to help or assist me, people assume that I cannot function without them. Yet at the farm, I feel free” he explains how he plants his seeds, and waters and once it blooms, “I can be proud that I did that by myself. This is a source of pride as it is a great achievement to do on my own” he explains. “It provides me with the privacy I require. As sometimes being in a public space can be unpleasant as people stare at me. There are always eyes on me, people look at me.” Challenges ·Land and space are required. Founder Mandisa Shabangu shares with us the journey of Abuti Apparel. The Mpumalanga based business offers quality, comfort and style in its family clothing brand. Although Shabangu began his journey in the agricultural space and had his qualifications there. Soon he realised that it was not his true calling. He discovered that entrepreneurship was his true passion, with the cornerstone being Abuti Apparel.
