Work-Related Learning Programme This programme is designed for students who are wanting to move away from education but need support to take the first steps into the world of work. It will develop your understanding, through work experience and studies to help you make informed career choices. This is recommended for 16-year-olds who are intending to secure an apprenticeship or go onto more work-related learning in the future. If there is a career that you are interested in, or you know that you are at your best when you’re on the job, then this is the pathway for you. OpenLearn - The opportunity to complete online courses that meet your interests and career aspirations. Academic Programme This programme is designed for students who would like to boost their GCSEs and other Level 2 qualifications in order to secure a place on a Level 3 course in a Sixth Form or college in the future. This programme is ideal for 16-year-olds who want to carry on with more traditional Level 3 studies (A Levels and BTECs) and need the right entry criteria for the institution or courses of their choice. If you are looking at A Levels and further studies in the long term, then this is the programme for you.
