1. We grow our pistachios right here in California. Pistachios are mainly cultivated in California and Arizona in the United States. It was once thought that the climate in these states was too hot for pistachios to grow. However, as technology developed, the United States became one of the world's leading pistachio producers. Our Seed & Shell Pistachio Butter are made from wonderful California-grown pistachios cultivated by a family-run or chard. 2. Pistachios are grown on trees that can grow up to 50 feet tall. Pistachios are grown on trees that can reach a height of 50 feet. Imagine there is a person who had to collect these seeds from such a height manually! Thankfully, we now have tools that make the process of harvesting pistachios much more smoothly. Humans made every effort to climb these pistachio trees, no matter how tall they were, so that they could eat pistachios. Indeed, pistachios have been a part of the human diet for at least 9,000 years!
3. Each year, a pistachio orchard may produce about 1 tonne of nuts per acre. We're fortunate that California has the ideal temperature and geography for growing pistachios.
