MAY 2021 DPS News MAY As the Covid restrictions are lifting, life For is getting back to a sense of normalcy and those DPS personnel are as busy as ever, that especially with the favorable weather this missed it month. All public and private construction projects are moving full steam ahead keeping our engineering team extremely busy. Garage personnel are working on all routine and preventative projects in addition to onboarding the five new laborers we recently welcomed. We’ve also found a little time to have some fun as well. Thanks to Jared and Todd for bringing a front loader, filling it with water and dumping it on the Mayor, giving us all a good laugh. We also had a great showing at our recent golf outing (see the golf outing page to find out who won). Keep up the great work everyone and stay safe and cool in June! DPS Appreciation DPS employees were treated to special treats twice in May. First, from Councilwomen Theresa Mungioli, who dropped off chocolate covered pretzels at both the Garage and City Hall. The owners of Canine Country Club sent cookies for the team for the great work they did on the ditch in front of their home. 2021 DPS Golf Outing
Other Department News Aron Ceniceros has been promoted to a Construction Inspector II Great Response from RCOC Councilman Walker contacted DPS to let us know of a damaged guard rail on Dutton. It was determined the impact head on guard rail was damaged while RCOC was grading the gravel road. After reaching out to RCOC, the repair was made within 24 hours of alerting them of this issue. Next month we will celebrate the Art on Auburn artists and the grand opening of the Splash Pad. Special thanks to Seth for all the product research & decal exhibits and Bud & Jeff for applying all 25 of the artwork pieces to the pavement.
