Exercise 1: Movements• Create a program in the Scratch software to allow The Tumbler to start moving forward.• Start the program by clicking on the “green” flag.• In this program, The Tumbler will move forward at the motor power of 50 (moderate power). Any unauthorized reprint or use of this material is prohibited.
Exercise 2: Distance Sensor• Attach a distance sensor to The Tumbler and make use of the distance sensor to define when will The Tumbler start moving forward.• Insert additional blocks to the program from Exercise 1. – In this program, The Tumbler will not move forward until the distance sensor detected a value of less than 10.• Now, let’s wave your hand in-front of The Tumbler and see it in action. Exercise 3: Distance Sensor• Modify the program from exercise 2.• Create a program that will allow The Tumbler to move forward when the distance sensor detected a value of 10, followed by moving backward for 5 seconds when it detected an obstacle within the distance of 60.• Try changing the “distance sensor value” and observe.
