All \"He Wants It All\" by Forever Jones There's a voice that cries out in the silence, Searching for a heart that will love Him Longing for a child that will give Him their all Give it all, He wants it all And there's a God that walks over the earth, He's searching for a heart that is desperate And longing for a child that will give Him their all Give it all, He wants it all And He says love me, love me with your whole heart, He wants it all today Serve me, serve me with your life now He wants it all today Bow down, let go of your idols, He wants it all today [x3] He wants it all.All God has ever wanted and still wants from His is that they love himunreservedly, and Him alone.Deuteronomy 6:5 (KJV)5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, andwith all thy might.Deuteronomy 11:13-14 (KJV)13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments whichI command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heartand with all your soul,14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latterrain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.Joshua 22:5 (KJV)5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servantof the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and tokeep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heartand with all your soul.Matthew 22:37 (KJV)37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thysoul, and with all thy mind.

Let us take a look at some of those who strived to give God ‘all’.DAVIDActs 13:22 (KJV)22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; towhom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a manafter mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.  1 Sam. 13:14 – Spoken of David before his ordination as king.  His character was divine: A man after my own heart, such a one as I would have, one on whom the image of God is stamped, and therefore one in whom God is well pleased and whom he approves.  That his conduct was divine, and under divine direction: He shall fulfil all my will.  He shall desire and endeavour to do the will of God, and shall be enabled to do it, and employed in the doing of it, and go through with it. [Mighty in battle, Goliath etc.]Psalm 101:2-4 (AMP)2 I will behave wisely and follow the way of integrity. When will You come to me?I will walk in my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.3 I will set no worthless or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the practice of those whofall away [from the right path];It will not grasp hold of me.4 A perverse heart shall depart from me;I will not tolerate evil.Psalm 119:2 (KJV)2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.Psalm 119:10 (KJV)10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thycommandments.Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV)23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.Psalm 84:10Amplified Bible (AMP)For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else];I would rather stand [as a doorkeeper] at the threshold of the house of my GodThan to live [at ease] in the tents of wickedness

Psalm 51:10 (KJV)10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.After his big time fall with Bathsheba he asked God to create in him a new heart and also to helphim change his ‘spirit’, his attitude.Shadrach, Meshach, and AbednegoDaniel 3:16-18 (KJV)16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, ONebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fieryfurnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worshipthe golden image which thou hast set up.  Their commitment to God was greater than their fear of death.  Luke 9:24 - For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.  Even if God did not deliver them, their desire was to serve Him all the way even if it leads to death. The question we have to ask ourselves is “do I love God enough to face even death for Him” or would I rather temporarily save my soul only to lose it in the end?MosesHeb. 11:24-2624 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh'sdaughter;25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasuresof sin for a season;26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for hehad respect unto the recompence of the reward.

JosephGenesis 39:9 (KJV)9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from mebut thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sinagainst God?Joseph realized his number one priority was to God.There are also examples in the Bible of people who have tried to ‘short-change’God, by holding back or being partial in their service to Him.Nadab and AbihuLeviticus 10:1And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put firetherein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which hecommanded them not.Nadab and Abihu had not in their youth been trained to habits of self-control.... Habits of self-indulgence, longcherished, obtained a hold upon them which even the responsibility of the most sacred office had not power tobreak. They had not been taught to respect the authority of their father, and they did not realize the necessity ofexact obedience to the requirements of God. Aaron's mistaken indulgence of his sons prepared them to becomethe subjects of the divine judgments.CC 100.3God designed to teach the people that they must approach Him with reverence and awe, and in His ownappointed manner. He cannot accept partial obedience. It was not enough that in this solemn season of worshipnearly everything was done as He had directed.... Let no one deceive himself with the belief that a part of God'scommandments are nonessential, or that He will accept a substitute for that which He has required.4Patriarchsand Prophets, 359, 360.CC 100.4AchanJoshua 7:21Good News Translation (GNT)21 Among the things we seized I saw a beautiful Babylonian cloak, about five pounds ofsilver, and a bar of gold weighing over one pound. I wanted them so much that I tookthem. You will find them buried inside my tent, with the silver at the bottom.”

Ananias & SapphiraActs 5:1-2 (KJV)5 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certainpart, and laid it at the apostles' feet.Lot’s WifeGen. 19:17,2617 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escapefor thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to themountain, lest thou be consumed.26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt One of the fugitives ventured to cast a look backward to the doomed city, and she became a monument of God's judgment. If Lot himself had manifested no hesitancy to obey the angels’ warning, but had earnestly fled toward the mountains, without one word of pleading or remonstrance, his wife also would have made her escape. The influence of his example would have saved her from the sin that sealed her doom. But his hesitancy and delay caused her to lightly regard the divine warning. While her body was upon the plain, her heart clung to Sodom, and she perished with it. She rebelled against God because His judgments involved her possessions and her children in the ruin. Although so greatly favored in being called out from the wicked city, she felt that she was severely dealt with, because the wealth that it had taken years to accumulate must be left to destruction. Instead of thankfully accepting deliverance, she presumptuously looked back to desire the life of those who had rejected the divine warning. Her sin showed her to be unworthy of life, for the preservation of which she felt so little gratitude. Jimmy and the FriesOne day James wanted to do something special with his five year old son Jimmy. He asked “son, is thereanything you’d like to do right now?” Jimmy said, “I want some McDonald French Fries.” His father said, “ifthat’s what my boy wants, then that’s what my boy gets.”They got into the blue and white chevy truck and headed toward McDonald’s. Jimmy’s lips and tonguewere silently moving as he could taste the fries before they even reached the store. His Dad made the order, and Jimmy’s heart pounded when his Dad said make it a super size fry. Jamestook the money out of his wallet to pay for the fries and a drink. Jimmy’s little teeth were ready to sink intothose hot golden fries, before they made it to the table. When they sat down, grace consisted of “God bless this food amen”, but it seemed like way too manywords to Jimmy who was eager to delight himself with this huge blessing of French fries.James was happy to see his little boy so happy over something so simple. He decided to join in the fun. Hereached over to get a couple of Jimmy’s fries for himself. To his surprise, his son quickly put his arms around his fries as though building a fort and pulled themtoward himself and said, “No, these are mine.” His dad was in a state of shock for a moment. He could notbelieve what had happened.James pulled back his hand and began to reflect about his son’s attitude toward the fries. Let’s walktogether through the things that went through his mind. He was thinking, my son failed to realize that I amthe source of those French fries. At the counter, I was the one who gave the cashier the money from my wallet. I did not give him the sizefry he was expecting, but something twice as big. Yet here he is talking about his French fries. Not only was I the source of the French fries, he has forgotten that I at 6ft 1 and 195 lbs, have the power totake all the fries despite his little arms surrounding them as a fort. Or that if I wanted to, I could go back tothe counter and bring him so many fries that he could never eat them all.He also does not understand, “that I don’t need his French fries. I could go back to the counter and get asmany fries as I wanted.”As the Dad thought about it, one or two fries really would not have made much of a difference for him thatday. What he wanted was for his son Jimmy, to invite him into the wonderful little world he had madepossible for his son. He wanted his son to be willing to share the very blessing that he had provided. What made it so hard for Jimmy to give up 2 or 3 fries? That’s the same attitude that we have towardsGod when we seek to hold on to the ½!

Israel after the Golden CalfExodus 33:1-6The Message (MSG)33 1-3 God said to Moses: “Now go. Get on your way from here, you and the people youbrought up from the land of Egypt. Head for the land which I promised to Abraham,Isaac, and Jacob, saying ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I will send an angel ahead ofyou and I’ll drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. It’s a land flowing with milk and honey. But I won’t be with you in person—you’re such astubborn, hard-headed people!—lest I destroy you on the journey.”4 When the people heard this harsh verdict, they were plunged into gloom and wore longfaces. No one put on jewelry.5-6 God said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites, ‘You’re one hard-headed people. I couldn’tstand being with you for even a moment—I’d destroy you. So take off all your jewelryuntil I figure out what to do with you.’” So the Israelites stripped themselves of theirjewelry from Mount Horeb on.Review & Herald, April 8, 1880 God leads his people on, step by step. He brings them into positions which are calculated to reveal the motives of theheart. Some endure at one point, but fall off at the next. At every advance step the heart is tested, and tried a little closer. Ifany find their hearts opposed to the straight work of God, it should convince them that they have a work to do inovercoming, or they will be finally rejected of the Lord. This world is the place in which to prepare to appear in God's presence. Individuals will here show what power affectstheir hearts, and controls their actions. If it is the power of divine truth, it will lead them to good works, and make themnoble-hearted and generous, like their divine Lord. But, on the other hand, selfishness, covetousness, and pride willmanifest themselves as the sure result of yielding to evil impulses. All who become connected with the cause of God will have opportunity to know what is in their hearts. If they prizeanything higher than the truth, their hearts are not prepared to receive Jesus, and he is consequently shut out. Ifindividuals, when tested, refuse to sacrifice their idols, and overcome selfishness, pride, and evil passions, it will be said ofthem as of Ephraim of old, They are joined to their idols, let them alone; and the Spirit of God will leave them with theirsinful traits unsubdued, to the control of evil angels. Many who profess to be Christ's followers are unwilling to closely examine their own hearts, to see whether they havepassed from death unto life. Some lean upon an old experience, seeming to think a mere profession of the truth will savethem; but God's word reveals the terrible fact that all such are cherishing a false hope. It would be more pleasing to God ifsuch professors of religion had never taken his name, since they are a continual stumbling block to unbelievers, and evilangels exult over their crooked course. Such are a curse to the cause at home or abroad. They draw nigh to God with theirlips, while their hearts are far from him. When those sins which God hates are subdued, then Jesus will come into their

hearts, and they may commune with him; they may increase in divine strength day by day, and be able with holy triumph tosay, “Blessed be God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The people of God should not imitate the fashions of the world. All who do this will gradually lose that peculiar, holycharacter which should distinguish them as God's people. In these last days some of the fashions are shameful andimmodest. If God's professed people had not greatly departed from him, there would now be a marked difference betweentheir dress and that of the world. We are living in a time when earth's inhabitants are growing more and more corrupt, andthe line of distinction must be more plain between them and the Israel of God, or the curse which falls upon worldlings willfall on God's professed people. The following scriptures furnish clear and unmistakable directions for those who would learn God's will: “In like manneralso that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shame-facedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold,or pearls, or costly array; but (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.” 1 Timothy 2:9, 10. “Whoseadorning, let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; but let itbe the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is inthe sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time, the holy women also who trusted in God, adornedthemselves.” 1 Peter 3:3-5. Young and old, God is now testing you. You are now deciding your own eternal destiny. Pride, fashion, emptyconversation, and selfishness are evils which, if fostered, will increase, and choke the good seed sown in your hearts, tillsoon the word will be spoken concerning you, as was said of Eli's house, that your sins shall not be purged with sacrificesnor offerings forever. Oh, that every lukewarm professor could realize what will be required of him, in order to pass theclose and searching test of the Judgment. Dear readers, do not deceive yourselves concerning your condition. You cannotdeceive God. Says the True Witness, “I know thy works.” The sin of this age is disregard of God's express commands. The power of influence in a wrong direction is very great.Yet there are those who recklessly place themselves in scenes of danger and peril, and expose themselves to temptations, out of which it would require a miracle of God to bring them unharmed and untainted. These are presumptuous acts, withwhich God is not pleased. Satan's temptation to the Saviour of the world to cast himself from the pinnacle of the temple, was firmly met and resisted. The arch-enemy quoted a promise of God as security, that Christ might with safety do this onthe strength of the promise. Jesus met this temptation with Scripture: “It is written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”In the same way Satan urges men into places where God does not require them to go, presenting Scripture to justify hissuggestions. The precious promises of God are not given to strengthen man in a presumptuous course, or for him to rely upon whenhe rushes needlessly into danger. God requires us to move with a humble dependence upon his providence. It is not inman that walketh to direct his steps. Nothing can be done prosperously without the permission and blessing of God. Hecan set his hand to prosper and bless, or he can turn his hand against us. “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him,and he shall bring it to pass.” We are required, as children of God, to maintain the consistency of our Christian character. We should exercise prudence, caution, and humility, and walk circumspectly toward them that are without. Yet we are notin any case to surrender principle. Our only safety is in giving no place to the devil; for his suggestions and purposes are ever to injure us, and hinder usfrom relying upon God. He transforms himself into an angel of purity, that he may, through his specious temptations, introduce his devices in such a manner that we may not discern his wiles. The more we yield, the more powerful will be hisdeceptions over us. It is unsafe to controvert or to parley with him. For every advantage we give the enemy, he will claimmore. Our only safety is to reject firmly the first insinuation to presumption. God has given us grace through the merits ofChrist sufficient to withstand Satan, and be more than conquerors. Resistance is success. “Resist the devil, and he will fleefrom you.” Resistance must be firm and steadfast. We lose all we gain if we resist today only to yield tomorrow.

ConclusionHeb. 12:1-312 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of[a]witnesses [who by faithhave testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessaryweight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run withendurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, 2 [looking away from allthat will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter offaith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], whofor the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, [b]disregardingthe shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, Hisauthority, and the completion of His work].3 Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostilityagainst Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not growweary and lose heart.Joshua 22:4-5#43#672#315
