VJS LINCOLN BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) The use of BIM has transformed the construction industry. The ability to create a virtual model of the building project allows us to vastly improve our ability to interpret and communicate the design with the owner, architect, engineers, subcontractor, suppliers, and building officials. From preliminary design through project close-out, our team uses BIM strategies to benefit the cost, quality, and duration of the project. As well as BIM modeling specialists, our estimators, project managers, and superintendents are trained in BIM. Any work requiring significant equipment will require we have the permit in hand. FUEL FARM BUYOUT AND SELECTION We like to procure MEPs and the fuel farm at the same time. This is a big-ticket item and there are many options to consider. Once these options are explored and decided on, the shop drawing and delivery process is often 16-24 weeks after all approvals and sign offs. This becomes a coordination issue with the electrical design builder and the selected fuel vendors loading requirements and amount of dedicated underground conduit runs.
