Networking components Computer network components are the major parts which are needed to install the software. A network has 5 basic components – clients , servers, channels, interface devices and operating system .some more important networking components are –nic,switch , cable ,hub,router and modem . 1.Clients – A client is a computer hardware or software device that requests access to a service provided by a server . 2.Servers – A server is a computer or system that provides resources , data, services ,or programs to other computer ,known as clients ,over a network.

3.channels – Network channels are the medium through which your wireless internet network sends and receives data. 4.interface devices – A network interface unit is a is a device that serves as a common interface for various other devices within a local area network, or as an interface to allow networked computers to connect to an outside network. 5.operating system – A network operating system that manages network resources such as an operating stem that includes special functions for connecting computers and devices into a local area network .
