My Experiences in Bringing External Affairs Home 1. In 2020, alone, ISHARED OVER 200 Opportunities with Medical Students including Exchange & Internship Programs & Opportunities to Innovate. Notable ones_ United Nation Millennium Fellowship; 2020 MIT COVID-19 Hackathon. 2. I Engaged Students in OVER 6 Initiatives in research, innovation etc. within school of Medicine. These include the School of Public Health COVID-19 Response Project; Virtual Berlin Global Heart Forum Project; Hemophilia Awareness Project. This was successful because of mentorship and engagement with Faculty, consultants, postgraduates and Administration. 3. Selected among 6 other students to represent UoN in the Prestigious GERMANY CHARITE-UoN BILATERAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM (To start this Year). 4. In 2020, during lockdown, I organized and facilitated 4 INTERNATIONAL TRAININGS for medical students from over 20 countries in 4 continents on \"How to Write Applications\" including preparing personal statements, cover, motivation and recommendation letters & interview preparation. 5. Mobilized Students to participate in several ELECTIVE & EXCHANGE PROGRAMS e.g. KEMRI, HEPI, University of North Carolina (Some were new opportunities I sort after). 6. During the AMSUN 2018, 2019 scientific conferences, I actively HELPED SOLICIT FOR SPEAKERS (more so in non-clinical areas i.e. Health financing) & SPONSORS. 7. I have Participated in SEVERAL GRANT WRITING PROJECTS. Managed to Secure two Grant Opportunities for the University/Students ( > 1 Million Ksh) Currently part of team drafting the ACU Medical Student Virtual Mobility Grant for an Exchange Program in Global Health. Through some engagements shared_ students have been able to raise money 8. In 2020 alone, I have worked with multiple teams and organized over 15 webinars, conferences & trainings for capacity building. One of the Highlights is the 2020 Certified Multidisciplinary One Health Small Working Groups (MOHSWGs) - interdisciplinary, interinstitution, intercountry 1 month activity bringing together 70 plus Students from across the globe matched with local and international mentors Generally, I believe in all the positions I have served in I have demonstrated servant leadership & an ability to collaborate and team up for optimal outcomes
