INTRODUCTION : TECHNOLOGY CAN NEVER REPLACE GREAT TEACHERS, BUT TECHNOLOGY IN THE HANDS OF GREAT TEACHERS IS REVOLUTIONAL. Man had developed and invented various aids that made his life easier since time immemorial. The development of science and technology is the milestone in this regard. The invention of computer and programming language became a momentum for the scientific and technological development of the 20th century. The development and advancement of software or the program that operated the hardware of the computers, became another notable event, that created massive improvement in the field. Thus system software and application were developed to suit the particular need. While the system softwares are the operating system that runs the device, application softwares are softwares that allows the user to perform several tasks . APPLICATION SOFTWARE : In information technology, an application (app), application program or application software is a computer program designed to help people perform an activity. Depending on the activity for which it was designed, an application can manipulate text, numbers, audio, graphics, and a combination of these elements. Some application focus on a single task, such as word processing; others, called integrated software include several applications.

FLIPBOARD : Introduction The world has seen tremendous advancement since the development of smartphones. The application software or apps, that cater to the android operating software are developed introduced everyday, based on the need and demand of the users. Nowadays these application software can be used on both PC and the smartphone with android, iOS or the windows operating systems. They can be downloaded and installed in the devices readily. In this regard, FLIPBOARD is also an application software that is available in appstores. FLIPBOARD is an one stop solution to skim through the articles and editorial of various renowned newspapers and magazines, at any place with the help of smart phone or PC. FLIPBOARD : Concept and Purpose Its believe that great stories move the world forward and that truth matters. The mass media and print media have been the pillars of this information exchange to the masses of people. The newspapers were the cornerstone of revolution and change of world for betterment. They spearheaded various political and social movements, as the basis of intellectual and ideological development in the bygone 20th century. With the development of technology, newspapers and magazines also became digitalised and were available as e-papers and e-magazines. Flipboard is an application that serves as a collection site where many such articles of newspapers can be read.

The special feature of the app would be the facility for categorizing the articles according to individual preferences and be up to date of the happenings around the world. With the recent update , the Smart Magazines are neatly arranged, vertically aligned panels that bundle sources, other users, and hashtags, so we'll receive a solid mix of information feeds. They aren't static, either; Smart Magazine are constantly evolving, and specific to your reading habits.

USAGE : A) DOWNLOADING AND SIGN-UP The app is available in the google play-store and the iOS store for downloading at free of cost. Once the app is downloaded the we can sign up to create an account google account or facebook account or through email. (Figure-1) Thus as shown in the above figure-1, the user can download the app by searching through the Google Playstore and proceed to install it into the device which can either a smart phone or PC, as the the app is available for both.

BENEFITS- EDUCATIONAL IMPLICATIONS  Reading newspapers have always been sources of knowledge and enhancement of the socio-political awareness.  The continuous reading of newspaper can help students to improve their language skills and thus the app serves the student-teacher community.  The vocabulary of the students improves tremendously with regular reading of the newspaper. They can learn new words and are able to recognize the meaning of them.  The students are made as responsible and ethically accountable citizens with the knowledge of their society. They can critique the immediate social and political scenarios ,which in turn develops an idea of the social values within them.  The writing skills of the students improve with reading the newspapers and the students are able to learn various new sentence structures by reading these articles by professionals. The app serves as a place where a variety of such articles are readily available to read.  A sound knowledge in various fields is developed as the app serves as a collection of multifaceted categories.  It immensely help teachers to stay in track of the fast developing world and stay updated of the current trends.

Teachers being the eye-openers of a whole generation of students must realise its importance and utilise it. Therefore knowing and utilising such application softwares like the one discussed can help them in this regard.Digital Education is the key to the future avenues and all the stakeholders must ensure that we are equipped to face this boom of technological advancement .
