LOCAL EVENTS Calling all Artisans … Whether you paint, sew, weave or make, you are invited to be a stall-holder at a Craft Fair at St. Mary’s Church, Astbury on Saturday 30th September 2023 from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Stalls are £20 each – the money raised is to improve church facilities. Email Jane Sharman (or [email protected]) to book your stall. Congleton Choral Society Garden Trail – Saturday 3rd June Following the success of our garden Trail in 2018, you are again invited to view seven gardens for £5 per person. Children go free. Each garden is different in size, character and planting and they show what can be achieved in a lot or a little space. We hope they will give you lots of real-life ideas. As well as gardens to visit, there will be (variously) available tea and cake, plants and bric-a-brac. Five of the gardens are open from 10.00am – 5.00pm – a couple have other hours. You can obtain a leaflet with all the details of the different gardens, plus opening hours, access and parking, which is also your entrance ticket, by paying your £5 at the first garden you visit. You can download the leaflet of garden addresses from our website - Gardens 2023 - and handbills are available at Congleton Tourist Information Centre, Smithy Farm, Astbury Meadow Garden Centre and Congleton Garden Centre (Castaway play centre). CCS, a registered charity, aims to raise £3,000 annually to help meet the cost of professional musicians and soloists. It does this through a mixture of activities such as social events and Singing Days, although the bulk of our income is raised through member subscriptions. \"And Then There Were None\" – Daneside Theatre Congleton Players will be performing Agatha Christie's classic play \"And Then There Were None\" at Daneside Theatre from Tuesday 13th June to Saturday 17th June. Tickets are on sale via Ticket Source or at the Information Centre at £10 and £8 Concessions. There is currently a special 2-for-1 ticket offer for the Wednesday 14th June performance at £10.
