Parts of Speech Parts (translated as part) and Speech (translated as speaking or narration) Therefore Parts of Speech refers to the parts of speech or writing in English. Which is There are eight types of words in English grammatically. Parts (แปลวา สวน) และ Speech (แปลวา การพูด หรอื คาํ บรรยาย) ดงั นัน้ Parts of Speech หมายถงึ สว นตาง ๆ ของการพดู หรอื การเขียนในภาษาอังกฤษ ซ่ึงนัน่ กค็ อื ชนิดของคําในภาษาอังกฤษนัน่ เอง ทงั้ นี้ ชนิดของคาํ ในภาษาอังกฤษ ตามหลกั ไวยากรณมีอยู 8 ชนิด ไดแก 1.Noun(คํานาม) Is a term for people, animals, things, places, as well as qualities or values. คอื คําที่ใชเ รยี กคน สัตว ส่งิ ของ สถานท่ี รวมทัง้ คุณสมบตั หิ รอื คุณคา ตา ง ๆ John(ช่ือคน) Car(สิง่ ของ) Ant(สัตว) Office(สถานท่)ี Example sentence: A cow is an animal.

2.Pronoun(คําสรรพนาม) These are words used in place of nouns. คอื คาํ ทใี่ ชแ ทนคํานาม (Nouns) I (ฉัน) You (คณุ ) They (พวกเขา) สรรพนามบุรุษท่ี 1 สรรพนามบรุ ษุ ท่ี 2 สรรพนามบรุ ุษที่ 3 Example sentence : I believe in him. 3.Verbs (คาํ กรยิ า) Is a word that indicates action or showing symptoms. คือ คําท่บี งบอกถงึ การกระทาํ หรอื การแสดงอาการ Laugh(หัวเราะ) Run(วง่ิ ) Watch(ดู,ชม) Example sentence : My mother watch TV.

4.Adjectives (คาํ คุณศัพท) Is a word that indicates attributes and is used to expand the noun or pronoun, which is related to property, condition, color, age or nationality. คือ คาํ ทบี่ ง บอกถึงคณุ ลักษณะและใชขยายคํานาม (Noun) หรือ คําสรรพนาม (Pronouns) ซ่ึงเป็นคําท่ีเกี่ยวขอ งกบั คณุ สมบัติ สภาพ สี อายุ หรือสญั ชาติ Beautiful(สวย) Blue(สีน้ําเงนิ ) American(สัญชาตอิ เมรกิ นั ) Example sentence : Anna is a beautiful girl. 5.Adverbs (คํากรยิ าวเิ ศษณ) A word that is used to expand verbs, adjectives, or adverbs, often ending in -ly. คําทใี่ ชขยายคาํ กรยิ า (verbs) คําคุณศพั ท (adjectives) หรือคํา กรยิ าวเิ ศษณ (adverb) มักเป็นคาํ ทีล่ งทา ยดวย -ly ตัวอยางประโยค: A turtle walks very slowly. (เตา เดินอยา งชา มาก ๆ) Adverb ขยาย verb = slowly ขยาย walks (เดินอยางชา) Adverb ขยาย adverb = very ขยาย slowly (อยา งชามากๆ)

6.Prepositions (คําบุพบท) Is the word used to connect nouns and pronouns with other words in a sentence, usually words that indicate time, place, direction or method. คาํ ท่ใี ชเ ช่อื มคาํ นามและคําสรรพนามเขา กบั คาํ อ่ืน ๆ ในประโยค มักเป็นคาํ แสดงเวลา สถานที่ ทศิ ทาง หรอื วธิ ีการ In(ขา งใน) at o'clock(ตอน,โมง) Example sentence : I normally get up at 6 o’clock. 7.Conjunctions (คาํ สันธาน) Is the words used to connect words, groups of words or sentences together. คําท่ีใชเช่ือมคาํ กลุมคาํ หรอื ประโยค เขาดวยกัน and(และ) or(หรือ) Example sentence : Sarah and I went to school together.

8.Interjections (คาํ อุทาน) Is the words used to utter to express emotions or various feelings. คาํ ทใี่ ชเ ปลง ออกมา เพ่ือแสดงอารมณ หรือความรสู ึกตาง ๆ Oh!(โอ!) Wow!(วา ว) Example sentence : Oh! I’m sorry for your loss..
