Design of a Church Complex: In search of a style ahead ACADEMIC Conceptual derivation Ground Floor Plan Back Elevation As a brief of the project, studio guides instructed us that massing should not be like the same we use todays. We should create a new style for far future. This project is about to design a church or a mosque. I was chosen for design a church. Design should be like futuristic church or mosque. It should be futuristic on plan elevation and perspective, but fully concerning the functional purpose. Respecting functional aspects, architecture what we going to create must be solved through structural conditions. In search of futuristic style, architecture can not be hypothetical. Maintaining architectural grammar, design need to be iconic figure. Thus my design end up to this. Front Elevation

To design a church complex, I had Course: studied the function and its connectivity. After so many trials, I Design Studio IX had come to this design. My concept to choose this kind of massing is its Studio Guides: iconic shape and direction to upper side A. B. M. Mahbubul Malik to the sky. Two curve line represented the hands Zisan Fuad Chowdhury holding like something to praying Moshfequa Ifat mercy to the God. Upside roof is in glass and transparent which Session: represented the vertical direction to the Fall 2015 God. This church is designed as Baptist Function: [for 500 persons] church. It also had a chapel. Structure is in RCC. Large green landscape is for Enty - 800 sft marriage function and also for Main Church - 13000 sft religious functions. Grandly open plaza as entrance to Church. Open Chaple - 2850 sft parking lot in north-east corner. Residential facilities - 750 sft Pedestrians and vehicular entry are Libary (50 persons) - 1750 sft separated for maintaining the crowd. Office - 250 sft Section AA’ Toilet Utility Room Car Parking Total - 25,000 sft (with circulation) Model: Section CC’ Section BB’

Redesign of Women Sports Complex at Dhanmondi Site Analysis As a brief of the project, site is in “Sultan Kamal Mohila Kriya Complex”. It is real existing site and project. Our studio guides instructed us to redesign the project by creating a landmark. Functions are changed according to International level. Standard should be followed internationally. Massing of existing building are not in satisfactory level architecturally. So, mass should be designed as prominent figure. This project is an indoor stadium. So, our studio guides instructed us to follow stadium massing as case study. They wanted us to design an international stadium. Moreover, stadium projects need proper gallery design. Because of being a complex master planning is compulsory to process the design. Fixing structure is important here. so, I choose to a massing which is exposing structural expression. Concept Science City at Kaliakoir, Gazipur Conceptual derivation future is uncertain, but certainty depends on our actions and a future for Tomorrow those actions turn into an opportunity. that opportunity is our future, which gives us options, chooses that says, ‘what future we want see?’. Science City doesn’t show the future, but it shows how can we make a better, an interesting, an effective and an optimum future. it not only says about tomorrow but also day after tomorrow. Science City : The place where we play with science. We can know every mystery of science. Also we can understand real basic of any kind of product, how it works or for what it works. In short it is a place of gathering of scientists, scientific products, scientific research and science interested people. Science city is a public place. It is open to all the people who are interested in science and really want to know truth of all wonders, we can see and can’t see. It is also a place for research who want find mystery of the universe and try to invent new things. ACADEMIC
