Air Tightness (Permeability) Testing █ Air tightness testing is required for all new build residential dwellings to ensure that the buildings meet their air permeability design target, as specified in the SAP calculations █ We undertake air tightness testing, ensuring Building Control sign-off under Building Regulations Approved Document Part L1a & L2a █ HA Acoustics offer a fully accredited air testing team, design guidance and advice throughout your entire construction phase and remedial advice in the event of a failure █ Our air tightness engineers are accredited to undertake air tightness testing of residential and commercial, including large covered spaces such as supermarkets, warehouses and schools. Ventilation Testing █ Ventilation testing is required for all new build residential, and increasingly conversions to residential to ensure that the buildings meet their ventilation design target as specified under the Building Regulations Part F. █ There are four different types of ventilation systems recognised in Building Regulations Part F, testing is required on Types 1, 3 and 4. █ We undertake ventilation testing ensuring Building Control sign-off under Building Regulations Approved Document F. █ HA Acoustics offer a fully accredited ventilation testing service, we can also offer design guidance and advice throughout the entire construction phase and remedial advice in the event of a failure. Water Efficiency Calculations █ Water efficiency calculations predict the water consumption of a proposed new-build and conversion property. █ The Building Regulations update from April 2010, requirement Part G.2 states that any new build or conversion dwelling must have a water efficiency calculation completed on it. █ The Regs state that ‘reasonable provision must be made by the installation of fittings and fixed appliances that use water efficiently for the prevention of undue consumption of water’. █ The regulations allow for a maximum of 125 litres of water use per person per day. █ If you are planning a new build or conversion to residential development the talk to HA. Our advice is to get the calculations undertaken at building design stage, as the final figures may well dictate the number of wet rooms / layout of water usage facilities and the make/model of appliances proposed. █ Our water flow rate assessors cover nationwide. As a remote service, we’ll also send you a questionnaire so as to obtain information on each rooms make/model of water usage appliances. Using the information provided, HA will calculate the projected water consumption levels of the proposed dwelling. █ We understand that this information is required urgently and therefore we offer a fast turnaround and competitive price on water efficiency calculations.
