Looking Ahead While we have served 500+ NGOs since our founding, there are currently close to 8,900 NGOs based in Hong Kong serving numerous social sectors. In the coming year we plan to broaden our reach to more NGOs that had not previously participated in our programs and deepen our support to current NGO clients.24 Asian Charity Services
NGOsThe NGO development workshops on the subjects of Strategic Planning,Fundraising Strategy and Board Governance will remain the core ACS programto be offered. In the coming year we will continue with the Power Up programand conduct seminars on highly relevant topical issues for NGO leaders. We will deepen our journey with the NGO clients we have been serving bycontinuing to learn about their most pressing capacity building needs in thechanging operating environment, and to further develop programs addressingrelevant topics to help them bridge the gaps.Vo l u n t e e r sSince the ACS operating model is to mobilize our large pool of skill basedvolunteers to serve many more NGOs than our own small staff team couldreach ourselves, we are committed to recruiting, training and developingvolunteers to equip them to serve our NGO clients more effectively.Partnering OrganizationsIn the coming year we will continue to collaborate with corporate andfoundation partners to design, develop and conduct new programs andprojects to further build up the professionalism and effectiveness of the NGOcommunity in Hong Kong. We will encourage staff members of our corporatepartners to become skill based volunteers with ACS in order to create a deeperimpact through this platform for cross sector collaboration. 2015 Annual Report 25
