What are the telltale signs?”Heart Attacks can indeed be harder to spot in women, who tend not to have the movie version– a sudden burst ofpain or pressure in the chest or arm. They often experience more subtle signs, such as jaw or back pain, nausea, andshortness of breath, according to the American Heart Association. As a result, women may be less likely to seek medi-cal help. Call 911 if you notice these symptoms. Women who experience angina that lasts longer than 10 minutesshould also ask their doctor about coronary microvascular disease, a type of heart disease more common in women.
