WOPL NEWS March The West Orange Public Library Newsletter 2020 TThhiiss MMoonntthh!! The library will be hosting the West Orange elementary schools’ art show with an Kids: opening reception on Wednesday, March 11 from 5:30-6:30 PM. The exhibit will be up from March 11 to March 31, so stop in to see the art work of our future leaders! Celebrate Makers’ Day on March is a great month to come to the library to celebrate women’s history and all the Friday, March 20 women in your life! We know you do this all day, every day, but March is the time to really revel in it. This month includes several programs celebrating female leaders. and There will also be educational programs on recycling, investment fraud, social media Saturday, March 21 marketing, and a free colon cancer screening by Rutgers University. The library will with crafts and fun! also be celebrating NJ Makers Day with programs on Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21. Children and teens can come work on crafts on Friday in the Children’s Teens: Room. Saturday morning kids can continue the fun with Let’s Get Crafty! and adults can learn to crochet with Carlotta on Saturday starting at 11 AM. Please note supplies Open Mic Night: for crocheting are limited, so if you have your own needles please bring them. featuring female Don’t forget we offer museum passes for the Montclair Art Museum, the Newark artists March 5, Museum, and the Intrepid. We’re still waiting for our NJ park passes, but they’ll be here 7:00-8:00 PM just in time to celebrate Spring!
