New WOPL News August at the The West Orange Public Library Newsletter 2018Library August is National Peach Month! Named after Augustus14 Caesar, August is the last full month of summer.  While the summer may be winding down, the Library still has plenty of programs!Summer Hours: This month, in addition to the regularly scheduled game night, theclosed Sundays library is hosting a Harry Potter event and free ukulele workshop forfrom May 27 teens and tweens. Raise the Grade is also returning to help studentsthrough with their study skills for the upcoming year. September 9 For the younger ages, the library is continuing summer story times. We will wind down the summer with the ever popular stuffed animal workshop and the 5th annual chess tournament with Livingston. West Orange will have the home team advantage.Did you August adult programs include The Great American Read Edibleknow?  Have Book Cupcake Contest and the library continues its Englishyou checked Conversation class on Monday evenings, the weekly Tech Help Hour,out an NJ State film and dessert, and Stitch & Yarn.Park pass yet? Last month, the library offered several events for all ages including covering topics on geology, music, comedy, story times, ESL help,Library Hours: video game tournaments for teens, and the Montclair Art Truck forMondays, Wednesdays, an interactive event for children.
