DGN2 Sample Event Program Thursday, April 29th 6:30 – 6:45 pm Registration and Information Update Check in and pick up your name tag and materials for the event. Head over to our computer station to update your online contact information and/or profile. (Computers will be available for use throughout the duration of the event.) 6:45 – 7:45 pm Speaker/Panel Program Panel presentation: “Success Stories for the Current Job Market from Social Media to Dartmouth Networking: How Four Alumni Landed New Opportunities in 2009.” Program will feature Alumnus A ’77, Alumnus B ’82, Alumnus C ’91 and Alumnus D ’03. The last 20 minutes will be used for a Question and Answer session. (Note for DGN2 Planners: More information on speaker and panel programs can be found at http://alumni.dartmouth.edu under Tools for Club Leaders.) 7:45 – 8:00 pm Networking Exercise Two‐minute networking. Participants will be split into industry/field groups and will give “15 second pitch” introductions. The time will run as a short “speed networking” exercise to allow alumni in similar career fields to meet quickly one‐on‐one. 8:00 – 8:30 pm Free Networking Alumni will have the opportunity to meet and mingle informally and to ask and answer questions about careers and opportunities to close the evening. Follow‐up: Encourage participants to post/search for opportunities on the numerous forums provided at Alumni Career Central (http://alumni.dartmouth.edu/default.aspx?id=1863 ) which will connect job posters and seekers from the Dartmouth community located around the globe.
