(OISE ’06) established a plan to ‘re-imagine’ continuing education and reflect upon, in our learning economy, who is an educator? Executive Director, OISE Continuing This re-imagining led to the development of our 5 Levers for & Professional Learning Growth (opposite page) which forms our blueprint for continuing education at OISE – Canada’s Leading Faculty of Education. 2016 was the year to establish the re-imagination foundation of OISE Continuing and Professional Learning and we started with a team commitment to engage the world’s educators and empower one another to create environments where learning thrives, which is top of mind in all the conversations we have, and work that we do. Within this annual report, we present our 2016 highlights which include: • Development of guidelines for non-credit programming which introduced a Professional Advisory Committee • 3 70% growth in contract solutions revenue (we significantly improved our RFP proposal response rate, and in turn, the volume of international and domestic contracts we’ve been awarded) • Implementation of a new enrollment management system • Development / re-development of 47 courses and programs • Introduction of OISE international recruitment materials, highlighting Canada’s education system and OISE’s impact. 2016 has set the stage for OISE Continuing & Professional Learning to not only re-imagine continuing education but to boldly imagine various “With OISE I Can” team and organization possibilities. Every day, the OISE CPL team strives to meet market demands and exceed learner expectations at every point of engagement, from a simple phone call through to program completion and beyond. In late 2015 and throughout 2016, OISE CPL began widely promoting courses and events through a subscription-based email database which now boasts more than 30,000 subscribers and acts as an important communication and promotion channel for the division. Marketing and community engagement strategies are being developed by the division’s Community Engagement & Marketing Manager who was appointed in Fall 2016.OISE CPL – 2016/17 Annual Report To appropriately showcase OISE and OISE CPL learner-centred professional services, new promotional collateral was developed to reflect these brand developments, which have been used extensively throughout 2016 for promotional activities, welcoming international delegations, RFP responses and in program delivery. 9

OISE CONTINUING & PROFESSIONAL LEARNINGLEARNING SOLUTIONS Guidelines for Non-credit Programs - Quality Assurance In 2016, OISE CPL developed guidelines for non-credit programming in response to the University of Toronto’s requirements for continuing education divisions and in alignment with CPL’s commitment to developing and delivering quality learning solutions. Education First is managing the tour and engagement of Canada’s Veteran’s Affairs and various history associations to deliver an on-the ground experience for educators and students in France April 2017.
