Elisabeth Rees-Johnstone Executive Director, Continuing & Professional Learning, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education UNIVERSIty OF tORONtOElisabeth Rees-Johnstone is Executive Director, Continuing andProfessional Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies inEducation (OISE)of the University of Toronto. Elisabeth has beenleading in the field of continuing and professional developmentlearning for over 20 years during which time she has held seniorleadership and executive consulting roles, with a foucs on adultlearning and education, across all sectors of education. Formallytrained in PK-12 Curriculum and Instruction, Elisabeth graduatedboth Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from McGillUniversity (Montreal, Canada) and began her early career as asecondary school teacher with a focus on teaching incarceratedyouth. Her expertise in effective teaching and learning strategiestransferred to adult education environments where Elisabeth bothled and consulted adult/professional learning initiatives and teamsin Canada and abroad for both non-proft and for-profit organizationsand across various industries (Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals,Financial Services, Telecommunications).As a result of her broad professional experience, Elisabethcontinued her formal learning development and graduated Masterof Education (M.Ed.) with a focus on Adult Learning and OrganizationChange from OISE, Univertisty of Toronto (Toronto, Canada). She isthe co-founder, and currently serves as a board advisor to, TheClient Counsel, an entrepreneurial organization focused on themobile customer/talent experience. Since 2006, Elisabeth hascontinued to lead various workshops and teach in post-secondaryenvironments as she believes it is important to stay connectedto the classroom environment (whether online, face:face or blended)and to be reminded how it feels to be continually learning and to beprofessionally accountable to co-construct meaningful and effectivelearning environments.

Evelyn WilsonCAosnstociniautineg D&irePcrtoofre,ssLeioanranlinLgeaSronliuntgio, ns (PreK-12),Ontario Institute for Studies in EducationUNIVERSIty OF tORONtO Evelyn Wilson is Associate Director Learning Solutions PreK-12 in Continuing and Professional Learning at OISE. Evelyn has three post-secondary degrees from the University of Michigan, Western University and the University of Windsor. She brings an extensive background in education having held positions at several Ontario school boards as a high school teacher, school administrator, consultant and superintendent. Evelyn also worked for the Ministry of Education in the Special Education and Adult and Continuing Education department where she was part of a provincial school improvement project. Her leadership skills have been recognized by the Ontario Supervisory Officials Association of Ontario, for whom she has written curriculum and mentored new Superintendent members. At OISE her prime responsibilities are in the development, implementation and assessment of Ontario College of Teachers accredited courses for teachers in a wide variety of subject areas. The Principal Qualification courses and Practicums are also an important part of her portfolio. In addition, Evelyn works collaboratively with international partners to develop customized leadership courses for school leaders and government officials.

Allie Houghton CCoomntminuuninitgy &EnPgraogfeemsesinotna&l LMeaarrnkeintgi,ng Manager, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education UNIVERSIty OF tORONtOAllie Houghton recently joined OISE Continuing and ProfessionalLearning as Community Engagement and Marketing Manager.Allie has over 15 years of graphic design, recruitment marketing,and program administration operations experience specific tohigher education and continuing/professional education.While her early career began in Canada with a focus on advertsingand graphic design, Allie moved to pursue opportunities in highereducation marketing consulting in the UK. For over a decade,Allie led marketing initiatives for the University of Edinburgh andEdinburgh Napier University, as well as working as a seniorconsultant with Penna Communications, where she led innovativerecruitment marketing campaigns for universities and collegesacross Scotland and England. Since her return to Canada inlate 2012, Allie has worked as a senior consultant withPearson Embanet as well as in the Ontario college sectorwhere she led brand, marketing and learner engagementstrategies with Sheridan College.

Steven Beggspaircinubciepdal consultant, Steven has 20+ years leading talent development and organizational capability teams and initiatives, both domestically and internationally. Known for his innovation and thought leadership, Steven’s areas of expertise include: learning strategy development for multi-national enterprises, leadership development, sales and customer service training, change management, and mobile performance support. Having worked for leading organizations in multiple verticals, his cross-industry, multi-national experience has equipped him with deep familiarity in: retail (Home Depot), financial services (American Express), and financial technology (D+H). Steven also served as an Officer in the Canadian Army for 12 years. Steven has a BA in Economics and Commerce and an MA in War Studies (Political Science and International Relations), both from Royal Military College of Canada.
