Elisabeth Rees-Johnstone Executive Director, Continuing & Professional Learning, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education UNIVERSIty OF tORONtOElisabeth Rees-Johnstone is Executive Director, Continuing andProfessional Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies inEducation (OISE)of the University of Toronto. Elisabeth has beenleading in the field of continuing and professional developmentlearning for over 20 years during which time she has held seniorleadership and executive consulting roles, with a foucs on adultlearning and education, across all sectors of education. Formallytrained in PK-12 Curriculum and Instruction, Elisabeth graduatedboth Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from McGillUniversity (Montreal, Canada) and began her early career as asecondary school teacher with a focus on teaching incarceratedyouth. Her expertise in effective teaching and learning strategiestransferred to adult education environments where Elisabeth bothled and consulted adult/professional learning initiatives and teamsin Canada and abroad for both non-proft and for-profit organizationsand across various industries (Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals,Financial Services, Telecommunications).As a result of her broad professional experience, Elisabethcontinued her formal learning development and graduated Masterof Education (M.Ed.) with a focus on Adult Learning and OrganizationChange from OISE, Univertisty of Toronto (Toronto, Canada). She isthe co-founder, and currently serves as a board advisor to, TheClient Counsel, an entrepreneurial organization focused on themobile customer/talent experience. Since 2006, Elisabeth hascontinued to lead various workshops and teach in post-secondaryenvironments as she believes it is important to stay connectedto the classroom environment (whether online, face:face or blended)and to be reminded how it feels to be continually learning and to beprofessionally accountable to co-construct meaningful and effectivelearning environments.

Evelyn Wilson CAosnstociniautineg D&irePcrtoofre,ssLeioanranlinLgeaSronliuntgio, ns (PreK-12), Ontario Institute for Studies in Education UNIVERSIty OF tORONtOEvelyn Wilson is Associate Director Learning Solutions PreK-12in Continuing and Professional Learning at OISE. Evelyn has threepost-secondary degrees from the University of Michigan, WesternUniversity and the University of Windsor. She brings an extensivebackground in education having held positions at several Ontarioschool boards as a high school teacher, school administrator,consultant and superintendent. Evelyn also worked for the Ministryof Education in the Special Education and Adult and ContinuingEducation department where she was part of a provincial schoolimprovement project. Her leadership skills have been recognizedby the Ontario Supervisory Officials Association of Ontario, forwhom she has written curriculum and mentored newSuperintendent members.At OISE her prime responsibilities are in the development,implementation and assessment of Ontario College of Teachersaccredited courses for teachers in a wide variety of subject areas.The Principal Qualification courses and Practicums are also animportant part of her portfolio. In addition, Evelyn workscollaboratively with international partners to develop customizedleadership courses for school leaders and government officials.

Allie HoughtonCCoomntminuuninitgy &EnPgraogfeemsesinotna&l LMeaarrnkeintgi,ng Manager,Ontario Institute for Studies in EducationUNIVERSIty OF tORONtO Allie Houghton recently joined OISE Continuing and Professional Learning as Community Engagement and Marketing Manager. Allie has over 15 years of graphic design, recruitment marketing, and program administration operations experience specific to higher education and continuing/professional education. While her early career began in Canada with a focus on advertsing and graphic design, Allie moved to pursue opportunities in higher education marketing consulting in the UK. For over a decade, Allie led marketing initiatives for the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Napier University, as well as working as a senior consultant with Penna Communications, where she led innovative recruitment marketing campaigns for universities and colleges across Scotland and England. Since her return to Canada in late 2012, Allie has worked as a senior consultant with Pearson Embanet as well as in the Ontario college sector where she led brand, marketing and learner engagement strategies with Sheridan College.

David MontemurroAdsespoacriattmeepnrtofoefsscourr, riculum, teaching and learningOntario Institute for Studies in EducationUNIVERSIty OF tORONtO David Montemurro is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream in the Curriculum Teaching and Learning Department at OISE. David is the previous Director of Secondary Initial Teacher Education Program at OISE, former Associate Chair, Teacher Education and has coordinated school-based teacher education programs in three TDSB high schools. Prior to joining OISE, David taught and was a Curriculum Leader in TDSB high schools. In addition to leading teacher development workshops on equity issues with Toronto teachers, he has presented on issues of student engagement, culturally responsive teaching and challenging deficit thinking to national and international audiences.
