lincolncollege.ac.uk/careercolleges 05LEVEL 1 DIPLOMA ENTRY CRITERIA Trade options at Gainsborough TRADE AREA GCSE SCHOOL/ OTHER include Brickwork, Carpentry & REQUIREMENTS COLLEGE Joinery and Painting & Decorating REFERENCE REQUIRED Programme includes employability skills and Functional Skills or GCSEs Brickwork Grade C/D in Yes Pre-Interview in English and Maths (dependent English, Maths (or latest report) Questionnaire, upon existing qualifications) and Science Assignment & English and Approximately 30 hours per week Maths test in College / Work Carpentry Grade B/C in Yes Pre-Interview A blend of practical and theory & Joinery Questionnaire, sessions Maths and English (or latest report) Assignment & English and Progression to Year 2, employment Maths test or an apprenticeship Painting & Grade C/D in Yes Pre-Interview Decorating English, Maths (or latest report) Questionnaire, and Science Assignment & English and Maths test Experience Satisfactory performance at Experience & Selection Day. All trades include a practical test in a workshop with the Personal Tutor. On the day you are required to wear strong footwear or safety boots and old clothes (no trainers).
