A WORD FROM THE CHAIRMAN“We are the generation that witnessed the creation of theunion, and we are proud to have seen the dynamic developmentand prosperity of the United Arab Emirates since its inceptionuntil now. We have exciting initiatives and plans comingup for the local art community as we are always searchingfor something unique so that the public can have access tocreativity and innovation. This is very important, first for mycountry, then for my kids and people in general. “About tenyears ago, I noticed that a lot of beautiful furniture in goodcondition was abandoned as waste, so I decided to create aplace dedicated to contributing to nature and environment.Chairs, lights, tables, and sofas in the Art House Café arecreated from recycled materials. 2014, shortly after the inauguration of Etihad Modern Art 7Gallery, the Art House Cafe was born. Creating awarenessside-by-side, these establishments became a multi-purposeart space for students who are gearing up for their exams,for professionals that need to squeeze creative juices inorder to accomplish their tasks, for people who just want tohave their coffee and for people who love art.Guests can see art in every corner while munching andsipping on their esthetically pleasing and palatable foodand beverages as well as innovatively designed furniturefrom recycled materials. Each piece is uniquely andmindfully created with artistic values to complete therelaxed and comfortable ambiance. The Cafe itself is one ofthe first private establishments wherein you do not needto stand, wave or even call out to the team members tocatch their attention for ordering and billing. As an envoyof environmental sustainability, we are also using SolarEnergy at night. People use this hub to add awareness totheir group’s campaign, that Art, Sustainability, Culture,and Technology can coexist with each other.Now, the demand for creative hubs such as the Art HouseCafe exponentially increased, expanding the space byadding an extension area where private functions such asparties, movie nights, yoga, etc are being held. Utilizing thesurrounding area, we now have a temperature-controlledoutdoor seating where you can enjoy outdoor activitiessuch as to paint on the bricks and plates or just to enjoy thecompound’s street art.That homey feeling, impeccable guest service experience,ambrosial food, altogether contributes to the philosophy ofArt House Café - “Natural Life”.

PAST EVENTS Pop-up Café The Mother of the Nation Festival is an event under the patronage of HH Sheikha Fatima bin Mubarak. Aligning with Her Highness’ goals and initiatives, the cafe participated in having a pop-up outlet in a container van. Using container vans as F&B outlets, as well as the upcycled furniture helped the Art House in delivering the message of saving the planet through recycling.12

Sadaqa Fridge Sadaqa is the concept of voluntary giving in Islam. Al Bateen Area has a diverse community and not all can afford a healthy lifestyle. Accepting this reality, the Chairman decided to have an open-fridge in front of the cafe.
