MAY 2021 INCHAM VIETNAM COVID RELIEF EFFORTS FOR PEOPLE SUFFREING IN INDIA - SHIPPED CYLINDERS TO INDIA Date: Monday, May 24, 2021 Venue: Nha Rong Port Address: 01 Nguyen Tat Thanh St., District 4, HCMC The Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM Vietnam) with the valuable contributions of INCHAM Hanoi, our members and Indian as well as Vietnamese friends, we have been able to send 520 Liquid Medical Oxygen Cylinders (LMO) to support Indians who were suffering from Covid-19 during oxygen shortage in India. On 24th May, 2021, the Indian Naval Ship Airawat reached the Nha Rong Port to receive the relief materials from Vietnam, which included Ventilators, Oxygen Concentrators & Oxygen Cylinders supported by INCHAM, Buddhist Sangha, VIFA & HUFO and disembarked at Visakhapatnam port on 04th June 2021 to be timely help for needy people in India. Not only Indians living in HCMC contributed generously for it but also many Vietnamese persons & organizations especially the HCMC Medical Association- AloBacsi, INCHAM Hanoi, and also Ms. Kim Anh - Van Tan Phat Company, who not only offered these cylinders on cost to cost basis but also contributed 20 cylinders from her side as her support to INCHAM’s COVID Relief efforts, given the scenario where we find so many other suppliers who have escalated the prices and trying to make huge profit out of the crisis. SIGNING CONTRACT TO BUY ECMO MACHINE WHICH WILL BE DONATED TO HCMC HOSPITAL FOR TROPICAL DISEASES ON 30/07/2021, OUR CHAIRMAN MR. MANOJ BARTHWAL SIGNED THE CONTRACT WITH VIET GIA COMPANY FOR ECMO MACHINE WHICH WILL BE DONATED TO HCMC HOSPITAL FOR TROPICAL DISEASES. Given the community spread of COVID cases in Vietnam, INCHAM with the support of its members, Consulate General of India & Indian community in Vietnam, sponsored an Extracoporeal Membrane Oxygenation-ECMO machine, valued at VND 3.50 Bn (Approx USD 145,000). This machine is installed at HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases, which is the main hospital to attend the COVID related serious cases for both local & expat communities in HCMC. With the support of our Team of INCHAM BoG’s, INCHAM Staff, the entire Indian community and the faith & contribution of our members, in-spite of its magnanimity, we were able to achieve this task as a team. MORE DEVELOPED AND RESPONSIVE INCHAM WEBSITE IS LAUNCHING SOON AND A NEW INCHAM APP IS COMING As part of our “Digital INCHAM” initiative we are developing and launching the new INCHAM App and the updated responsive INCHAM website under the supervision of our Vice-Chairman Mr. Rajib Gupta. We have signed the contract of designing and developing this app with Alpha Creative Vietnam and the work is under development. The project is at it’s last phase and expected to be finished in October. This hybrid app will help members to stay connected with INCHAM and members, receive all information, update membership, pay fees, join events and will have many useful features.
