MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The Management Development Programme supports Assistant, Deputy and Kitchen Managers to develop themselves and their career at Greene King. This programme has been built around the Hospitality Management Apprenticeship to help provide learners with the underpinning knowledge, behaviours and skills required to lead, coach and manage our teams effectively.This will then help to drive our businesses and support our vision of becoming the BEST pub company in the UK. To support delivering the best development journey possible, learning will be delivered through a combination of virtual workshops, classroom workshops, distance learning, self-study, 121 support and onsite training. WHO’S IT FOR? This programme is for Assistant, Deputy and Kitchen Managers who have ambitions to develop themselves personally and professionally and progress in their careers at Greene King. If you are looking to progress in approximately 12-18 months and are up for the challenge then this is the programme for you! WHAT’S INVOLVED? An Apprenticeship at this level needs a high level of commitment and dedication.To take part in this programme you will have been nominated by your Business Development Manager as someone who has the potential and desire to progress.You will also need to take an initial online diagnostic test and complete a personal application prior to enrolment. The programme is delivered over 15 months, and by the end you will have gained a Level 3 Apprenticeship. TO ACHIEVE THIS, YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING: 3 Virtual development webinars 3 Classroom based skills workshops O n the job observations and coaching A number of mock assessments As a learner, we will be asking you to commit to self-study outside of the workshops to be able to complete your assignments and projects that will be assessed for your qualification. Workshops Attendance on workshops is a mandatory part of your commitment to the Management Development Programme – you will be provided with all dates at the beginning of the programme. If for any reason you cannot attend a given date, you must reschedule onto one of the other available dates scheduled for other groups running in the same timeframe.This will help to ensure that you are able to complete the assignment activity and maintain a manageable workload.
