Sequential Recut: Exploring comics and language By Daeja Sutherland
For the title I created text out of objects, this concerns the sequential recut theme as it is a grouping of grandom objects that forms a single message
The title also reads “Oh Dear” which was the phrase I used to explore language in comics through its multiple meanings.
This page explores panel and line and space. I chose to have the charachter outside of the panel, kindof wrapping around in, and have its inner thoughts inside of the panel.
This page explores the exasperated use of “Oh Dear”.
This oage explores texture and background. I expanded the panels for a more traditional approach, and tried to fill the panel up to created background and mood.
This page explores the phonetic use of “Oh Dear ”.
For the final page, I combined the last two ideas of line, texture and background for the design, as well as adding form and figure. (plus this is my favorite way to draw panels <3 )
For page explores the literal meaning of “Oh Dear”.
