That day, during our tea time, we were remembering one of our amazing 92 sailing experiences in the Arabian Sea during our family tour to Gujarat on way to Bet Dwarka from Dwarka during 2013. It was so amazing that gives us much delight even today when we try to remember that event. Bet Dwarka is a small island in Arabian Sea at the mouth of the gulf of Kutch. It has some historical importance also. Dwarkadhish, Lord Krishna’s temples are situated here. One day in a fine morning we started our journey from Dwarka jetty by a motor boat. It was just a 20 minutes journey to reach the beautiful island. What is amazing, the whole stretch was as if guided by hundreds of beautiful seagulls. Actually what happens, passengers in the boat carried some foods with them for fishes and birds. The beautiful seagulls started flying over the boat in search of food. Passengers would just glide bits of food in the sky and within a flicker of an eye birds would catch those within their lips. Throughout our journey, we all were busy to catch those amazing moments in our camera. St. Augustine’sDay School IMPRESSION
ENGAGING KIDS DURING KATYAYNI, KAUSHIKI & SHIVOHAM MISHRA Father: Mr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra LOCKDOWNClass-UKG, Sec.-C Parents all across the country have started to accept the fact that schools are going to be shut for quite some time because of the Coronavirus pandemic. In such a scenario parents are constantly worried about how to keep their kids engaged. It is important for families to operate positively during this unforeseen shutdown. Parents should make time to sit with their kids and plan their day. As per Dr. Arun K Bableshwar there are many activities to engage kids during the lockdown. However I personally use the below two: 1. Create a scrapbook - You could create a project out of it where they paste flowers, leaves, pictures of their friends and family, pets, and teachers. 2. Gardening - Most important which I do with my kids are gardening. It helps children understand the complete life cycle of a living being. It also explains where food comes from, and how things grow. Planting seeds and watching them grow gives a sense of purpose and social responsibility. Lockdown doesn’t have to mean boredom. There are plenty of activities that you can organize for your children which will not only keep them from getting bored but will also help them grow. So be mindful and aware of what you do throughout the day, do things that inspire your kids. Be proactive and be productive! St. Augustine’sDay School IMPRESSION 93

Chieldhood is the happiest period of one’s life. It has been called the golden period of life. The sweet memories of chieldhood stick to one’s memory like a plesment dream. In my childhood I knew no worry. I had no responsibility. I got everything without doing anything. My every wish was readily fulfilled. I enjoyed perfect freedom. I could say anything to anybody. Nobody took offence. Even my meaningless words would be a source of joy my parents. I had a great power of imitation. I imitated the action, movements and gesture of grown-up people. Often, I tried to walk like my grandfather. My grandmother was perhaps my best friend. She was full of stories. Often, I would ask her to tell me lales me tales of princes and fairies. I spent most of my time with her. Whenever my mother got angry with me, my grandmother was always there to protect me. I was very credulous in my chieldhood. I was as innocent as a lamb. However, very curious by nature and always eager to know “why” and “how” of everything. But gone are the days of childhood. Only sweet recollection of that golden period are left.
