As you turn 50, I raise a toast in my signature style. “let the green tea pour, the melodious hindi music roll and You watch your life unfold.” The most beautiful time in your life is NOW!! So.....just enjoy it. Happy birthday, My golden girl!! Love you forever. – Gudia 47

Thanks to Jyoti for bringing back the love in our lives.. Wishing you a Happy Golden birthday and all the happiness in the world! God bless you always! With love.. – Sunil and Manisha Sabharwal Dear Jyoti, A very Happy Birthday to you!! The moment I say your name, my memories take me down the lane. You were always a humble and friendly person. I still remember our school days, going to Deep Market and playing car racing games at the video games parlour, teasing Anupama, our crushes and stupid fights. I cannot forget John ka bread pakora and idli sambhar. There is a lot to write. We have grown up together eating each other’s lunch. I really cherish each and every memory. Time passed and the distances grew. We lost contact but your place in my heart is preserved. Hoping to meet you soon. May God always bless you with happiness and good health. Love you!! – Monika Gupta 48

Hi Lali, Wishing you a Very Happy 50th Birthday.  Its been years that we have met or spoken with each other in contrast to those good old days when there was not a single day that went without being in one argument or the other. We grew together like a family. I still remember those wonderful days and feel nostalgic. I wish we could relive those days. Happy Birthday Once again.   – Aajesh Jyoti I want to wish you a very Happy 50th Birthday! Wish I was there in person, but know that I think of you with fondness and love. Even though we haven’t met face to face in decades, anytime we have spoken on the phone or Facebook, it seems that we can take off into a conversation, as if we never separated. Jyoti you are a generous, kind and loving person and a great friend. Shopon (I know I spelt it wrong) you are a very lucky guy, but you already knew that, because you chose her to be your life partner. May you both have the most joyful life ahead with your family! Cheers to you and happy birthday again Jyoti! I will always remember our long trips to Kalkaji to study Physics and Botany. The journey was better in your company and I will always remember with a smile how we laughed and struggled together. Ashish joins me in wishing you also I love you!! Muah! We always – Vikranta 49

'The most caring, generous, loving and selfless person I know\".   – Chan 57

Jyoti is a beautiful person inside and out, her generosity and kindness touches each and every one who comes her way. Extremely responsible, she could actually teach the Harvard School of Management a thing or two about organisation. We are truly fortunate to be her friends and wish her a happy and blessed future. - Rohini and Manish Baijal 58

59

I spent 4 years studying in the same campus with Jyoti knowing only that she existed. One fine day, years later, my dear friend Shopon, tells me he’s getting married (to Jyoti) and I must be there. I really met her first at her wedding reception, and decided she was a wonderful lady and my friend was lucky to be sharing his future with her. I was wrong on 2 counts: she being wonderful and he being lucky. Both adjectives fell so short!! As I know today she’s been all a life companion can be and a whole lot more and she adds a crown to the Saha name. God bless her, on this lovely occasion, and God bless the truly splendid family she’s made. – Dinesh Maskeri Always smiling and cheerful and ready to help. A wonderful person – Deeva patil I have known Jyoti since Manipal days and have wonderful memories of the good times we shared as friends. She has been a pillar of strength for her family and friends. A fantastic person with a clean heart. Wishing her a fantabulous birthday and all the happiness in the years to come. Shopon my dear friend - you are lucky man to have Jyoti in your life. Best wishes. – Ajay Pahuja 60

Behind you - all your memories and achievements  Before you - all your dreams and goals  Around you - all those who love you  Within you - a most wonderful heart and soul  Happy happy 50th birthday Jyoti! Wishing you all the best life can offer!  With loads of love – Akila, Srinidhi and Lakshmi 61

My trainee Dr Shopon Saha had promised me an introduction to a good friend of his visiting from Australia. She had just flown in from Australia. My wife and I waited for them to arrive at our house one evening as we had a table booked at an Indian restaurant in Derby for dinner. My first encounter with this wonderful girl who was introduced to me as Jyoti was remarkable. She was delightfully confident and her first question to me was that “why had I not appointed Shopon on a permanent post as registrar”. I could see the annoyance and embarrassment on Shopon’s face. However, he didi not realise that I was not taken aback by the forthright suggestion but was impressed with her confidence as well and I realised that she was probably more than just a visiting friend to him. Her suggestion was purely out of love and care. We became good friends and they were kind to me and invited me to their wedding in Delhi. They organised my trip along with my visa which was difficult to be granted for a British subject with declared place of birth being Karachi, Pakistan. With my further relationship with them and Shopon's progress through surgical training ranks and their stay in Derby for few years before the family moved to Chester, I got to know them and their parents far more closely. Jyoti being the eldest daughter was very keen and determined to look after her siblings and be equally attentive to her family. The most tragic event in their family’s life was her youngest sister’s affliction with a dreadful cancer. Her sister Preeti was an equally strong girl who was loved by us all. Jyoti was the tower of strength to Preeti, her parents and her sister Mita who was residing in Dubai. During all this time Jyoti also had her first pregnancy and had given birth to a girl. Thereafter to twin girls. Three children, family and siblings to care for emotionally and for their physical wellbeing was very strenuous task but she excelled in its delivery. Preeti unfortunately lost her battle to cancer with devastating effect on her parents and sisters. Jyoti remained steadfast in her support to her parents. There aren’t many individuals I have known with such character and strength. Jyoti was very good academically too. Hence, not surprisingly, she completed her training with successful completion of all her post graduate exams to further her career as general practitioner in the NHS. I could write pages on her and run out of space but description of her character, accolades and personality will not end. – Iftikhar 62

I have known Jyoti for over 15 years, she is like family to me, one of finest person I have met in my journey of life, have shared some wonderful times and some very sad times together. Always smiling, her presence brings so much energy. She is easy to talk to, so vibrant, and confident... the list is endless. Jyoti will always say it as it is to your face and will lookout for you behind your back. her friendship is precious to me, because she is a gem of a person. Many people walk in and out of your life, but Jyoti, stamped a footprint on my heart that will remain with me forever. Lastly, thank you for coming into my life and being a true friend. – Talat 63

Jyoti is a great friend and her helpful with an extrovert which attitude makes her one of a kind. She has left Derby but her impact is such that whenever we pass Heatherton, we always remember the Sahas. – Nitin Kolhe We were with Jyoti and her family for a brief period. However it seems we know her forever. Jyoti is a very kind, caring and dynamic/happening person. In spite of a very busy lifestyle she has time and energy for everyone individually and makes everyone feel special and important. That’s because she is herself special and a delight to have as a friend. Wishing her the most special wishes for this special milestone and the future.  – Jaishree and Ravi 64

When we were all living in Derby, at every difficult or challenging time Jyoti was one person you could always count on being there to help. Like family but without the craziness! Jyoti has always beenlikethebigsisterneither of us had. Giving free medical advice one day and serving great food and hospitality the next. Big hearted and generous, straight talking but kind, impressive yet humble. There's no one on earth quite like her. One of a kind. Happy Birthday Jyoti! We all wish you a long happy healthy and prosperous life with your wonderful family. Lots of love, – Sadiq Zehra, Alicia and Zainab 65

Dear Jyoti You are the most humble and sincere friend. I must say that we all admire your soft but strong heart. You are very close to not only me but to my entire family. May you have a blessed life ahead. Happy Birthday!! I can’t believe you are 50! It must be your 40th birthday...) – Farhan 66

I always tell my family that Jyoti is the best example of a female role model. How to build a career, family and a social circle... I want all the female members of my family to be like Jyoti. She is a glowing example of a great mum, partner, friend, daughter and sister. This is how every women should be like and especially in my conservative society, we need people like Jyoti as an example of a modern independent woman. I still remember I first saw her on video call you made when she and Preeti were in Australia and then we went together to Bowtry to buy your Toyota. Always smiling, I never saw anger in her at same time telling truth. Who can forget her composure during the difficult time of her sister's illness. Her kind gesture of supporting us during the earthquake time in my hometown of Muzaffarabad. I can’t believe she is 50 as still as young as I first saw her all those 16 years ago. Her parents must be proud of her. I wish her every success and health in life and many more golden jubilee celebrations. Shopon, you are lucky and so are your daughters. – Nauman Love you Jyoti 67

Dear Jyoti, As you brace yourself to enter the second half of life, it must give you immeasurable pleasure to look back at your last 50 years too… The day you were born on 5th Feb 1970... Your first cry must have given your parents plenty of tears of joy… the best possible gift to them… they brought you in to this world… and your past 50 years of life must have given your parents many many proud moments… You have evolved into a most kind, fun loving, intelligent and independent thinking person… now a mother of the most wonderful 3 daughters - Samya, Siya and Piya... You have totally mesmerized a gentleman called Shopon, whose devotion to you has brought the prolific persona in you to shine out wherever you have travelled and lived… We can say this with reasonable certainty as we have met some of your friends & family from the past, either in person or seen their admiration for you via social media… Meeting your parents, sister Meeta and her kids and your cousins, we could sense the deep bond of love you have with them and you don’t hesitate to share that with us… Your vast network of friends around the globe is a true testament of your very approachable and friendly nature… We met you when you moved to Chester… still remember when we met for the first time almost 8 years ago… we have never looked back and have been your “fan” ever since! The bond of friendship deepened over a period of years and we have spent many hours together having a good time… We shared each other’s joy and at times some sorrows too… 68

You continue to strive for higher echelons of human endeavours, be it charitable work or spiritual activities… Your charitable acts in India, UK or Africa are never ending and you are there with buckets of compassion and self-sacrifice for the betterment of humanity. You do it with such ease that, it is only possible by a genuine human being with a heart of gold! Your finesse and attention to details to put an indelible stamp on your new home “STACKPOLLY” is well and truly taking shape…. We pray for all the happiness and health in that new beautiful home… we look forward to spending many more years in your company and remain inspired by your life as you prepare to pass the landmark birthday…. The traditional Indian “Van Pravesh” at the age of 50 is true, but your ‘juvenile heart’ has a lot more time before you have anything to worry about! Let your passion fly higher… Let your spirituality climb new peaks… Let your innocent self immerse amongst your loved ones… let the ‘baker’ in you stay close to those tantalising taste buds…. Let your ‘Olfactory bulb’ stay ready for those amazing aromas of flowers from your garden…. Let your caring and loving-self, bring smiles and comfort for your family and friends…. Let your love flow…. As you enter the new era… Jyoti let your “Kalash” overflow…. Keep turning life experiences in to your sense of inner happiness, just like the Sun at dawn spreading its light making those clouds change colour… Let your love continue to irrigate your family and friends with that divine nectar… just like the morning sun does to the garden and courtyard…. Let the dreams of tomorrow be true, like the radiant face of earth on kissing the Sun rays at the dawn…. Keep spreading joy and laughter, just like droplets of water on the green carpet of grass twinkling with first rays of morning Sun…. May god keep on blessing you… with happiness! Very best wishes… – Mina and Mayur (Abhijay and Rutujay) 69

She is a true friend. Wishing you all the best, love and happiness for the future.  Love – Raj, Archna, Mani & Ella 71

Dearest Jyoti, Have a great 50th and wishes for many more happy healthy days. We feel blessed that you have come into our lives and feel grateful for the countless happy memories, fun and laughter we’ve had over the years. Neha says that Jyoti aunty is the best at coming up with quizzes having the weirdest questions!! Happy Birthday Jyoti Love always, – Shanthi, Meera and Neha 72

73

Jyoti came into our lives when the twins joined King’s school with Alya. We soon became friends and have had some truly enjoyable years. Jyoti helped us in all sorts of ways from simply sharing stories to being the ‘go to’ person for advice on family and health matters - a great confident, property/restaurant finder and a trusted friend. She encourages her family to be better people and is an inspiration to us all. Her humour and compassion teamed with a serious demeanour make Jyoti a pleasure to be around. We always look forward to being in her company. Shopon may have the title ‘Mr Saha’ at The Countess of Chester but that title has to be left behind as once he gets home it is clear who wears the trousers at Woodbank - something not lost on the numerous contractors during the house renovation!!! We have it on good authority that Jyoti is a ‘drill sergeant’ on holiday, preparing each day with military precision, overuling Sat Nav and disputing Trip advisor to get the best outcome for all, or as some may see it ‘her own way’! That being said, we would gladly join her on vacation if only to witness the whole thing first hand. We recall the occasion when Jyoti defeated GPS and got her and Tugba lost in Delamere Forest, perhaps it is best to keep the Satnav on for the time being???? Looking forward to making some more wonderful memories and close by saying your New Year’s Eve dress was voted ‘The Sexiest’ at the Party! We wish you a very Happy Birthday! Love always, – Paul & Tugba and Alya 74

Dear Jyoti Wishing you the happiest of birthdays this year! To say that you are a friend, more of sister and just a great person to hang out with, sounds kind of cliche’; You are more of our spiritual guru, our moral compass and some one so close that we can converse and relate with each other, in a space that is beyond the idea of right doing and wrong doing. We admire you for the maturity, strength and balance you have always displayed in life and look up to your patience and understanding with people. We applaud and rejoice your pursuit of spiritual enlightenment and ‘inner engineering’ - not just for your own-self, but more so for the happiness and peace for everyone around you. Our lives are better for knowing you and the world is a better place for having you in it. We wish nothing but great joy and peace for you on your special day. So, Here's to 50 years of incredible you…and an incredible 50 more! – Ashu, Navneet and Arjun 75

Our dearest Veera...   Celebrations!! Your big birthday is here!! You are such a wonderful person, so close to our heart and you deserve so much happiness on your special day. Jyoti is like a younger sister to me, full of love and affection. She is caring, considerate and courteous. I regard myself very lucky and fortunate to know her and her family. She is a dedicated soul towards the Art of Living programme and the learnings from the Bhagwad Gita. Our local Hindu community has greatly benefited by her tireless efforts and dedication to teach and spread the awareness of the teachings of Lord Krishna by arranging the series of lectures by an excellent teacher at her home. She has generously hosted these workshops at her home with the help of her husband Shopon who I think deserves a special mention for being a nice human being and a supportive husband. I wish Jyoti a wonderful 50th birthday with many more to come. – Jai Nankani 90

From the short time we worked at her home, Jyoti was very hospitable and made us feel very welcome offering us plenty of food and drinks. In my opinion, Jyoti is a very kind and humble person. However when pushed too far, she can also be stern when needed. It seems to me that Jyoti likes and wants to help people in anyway she can. So I really hope Jyoti has a very happy birthday ! – Damon Scott Jyothi is an amazing person. Always happy and smiling. She brings a positive energy around her. I have never seen her talking, thinking or expressing any negative attitude. She taught me a wonderful lesson - “Avoiding some people in your life for your emotional well being is not a weakness but a strength”. God bless you Jyothi! – Ravish 91

I feel privileged to have come across you in my life - such an inspiring, generous, kind-hearted and spiritual human being. You are always there to listen and are so committed to helping those less fortunate. I have always been made to feel so welcome when you open your house for group Kriya and satsangs. I hope to continue sharing great moments and experiences with you. I wish you the very best on your 50th birthday with your wonderful family. May this life bring you all the things you wish for. Lots of Love – Inma Jyoti, J OYFUL Y OUTHFUL  O RGANISED  T ALENTED I NTELLIGENT  Jyoti is a person filled with a “Joyful” heart and  “Youthful” energy. She is always seen being full of enthusiasm.. Dear Jyoti, I have known Jyoti only for the last five years as a friend. I am hugely impressed by her clarity of vision, focussed attitude and a sense of calmness when dealing with the most difficult and awkward problems in life. She has a wealth of wisdom which she shares with her friends and family to smoothen our chaotic lives. I am ever so grateful to her for the emotional support she provided to me when I desperately needed it. She is also a fun-loving and vivacious person who knows how to enjoy life in its entirety. She has proved to be an excellent organiser who can get things done and epitomizes the famous quote by Margaret Thatcher,  ‘If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.’ She is a true combination of ‘brains and beauty’ and I wish her a very happy 50th birthday with many more to come! – Kalpana Dearest Jyoti, You are the most generous and kindest person I have ever seen. You are true to your name and leave imprints of “light” and “joy” wherever you go. I have never seen such a selfless person who always think about helping the under privileged, in what ever way possible.  You are truly “Jyoti ma”. Wishing you a lovely 50th Birthday!!! May god give you good health and happiness forever. Lots of love and best wishes – Rashmi, Sairam and Anvi 93

Dear Jyoti, It has been a real pleasure   knowing you these past few years. I remember meeting you for the first time at Sanjhi Diwali party when you were new to Chester & did not know many people. Look at you now ! You have connected with nearly the entire Chester and Wrexham because of your large hearted and magnanimous nature, by opening the doors of your home and heart to everyone for a noble cause. You are such a warm, generous, pleasant, friendly, soft spoken, kind hearted & a fabulous person (the adjectives can just flow) and the people around you are very fortunate to have you in their midst. Hope you have a fantastic 50th Birthday & many blessed years ahead. Do enjoy your milestone year & those after. Cheers to you. – Rajni Dear Jyoti Ji, With love and respect I call you “Gudiya Raani” (loving sister). My first meeting with you was so peaceful, happy & calm.
