Happy th Anniversary Dearest Ma and Papa, It’s an absolute joy to be able to celebrate the momentous occasion of your 50th wedding anniversary with you, especially when we (Sandeep and Priya) are just about crossing the 100 day milestone of our own wedding and we (Nandini and Ashish) completed 16 years recently. We can only begin to appreciate the amount of trust, understanding, compromise, commitment and love it has taken for both of you to come this far in your lives together and wish you many many more happy years ahead full of good health and fun memories. Papa, we have marveled at your will power and courage, your belief in yourself, your ability to remain positive in the most adverse of situations, to never say never and your ability to pamper us, your kids and grandkids, always. Ma, hats off to your inner strength, your sense of duty, the amazing artist and culture aficionado within you, your love of nature, your ability to silently care for everyone and your devotion to us.You have shown us, that success doesn't come without hard work, whether in the professional field or at maintaining an efficient, neat & happy home. Always having a strong sense of family, we have seen you both stretch yourselves, sparing no extent for each and every family member. Whenever someone (family or anyone else) has reached out to you, we have seen you help them in the best way possible at that time. Being part of and contributing to charitable causes has also been a high priority in your lives. Just like every being operates under the light of the Sun, our world radiates with your blessings and presence. You are our sources of energy, operating off your own self-realized divinity. Your indefatigable faith in the all-mighty has been the bedrock on which we perform our happy, sometimes crazy cadence. Both of you have been a constant pillar of strength for us and we are very grateful for your unwavering support in everything we have done, especially if it meant walking down a path, less frequently trodden. It is nothing short of a miracle, how both of you have been present for the smallest and biggest occasions in our lives, even if it meant for Papa to have a crazy travel schedule and for Ma to stay up nights along with us preparing for that event. Whether it means getting us Tuesday prasad from Chote Hanumanji or being Santa to Taarini - Ishani, exploring the neighborhoods of New York City or just partaking in a Fam-Jam music session at home, you have done it ALL. Whenever you both enter a room, you light it up and bring the party to life! Wherever you have lived or visited, the strong friendships and bonds created have stood the test of time. We have been the benefactors of these ties. That there are places in the world where people would be happy to welcome us to their homes is quite a legacy! 2

It has been an amazing few weeks of getting in touch with friends and family who have known you over these five decades, reading through these heartfelt messages and going down memory lane looking for photographs. We used to play in the water for a while and then build sand castles. Then you introduced us to those small shells, which resembled rice grains, 'Tandool mani'. Happy th murieL and shyam BaJoria Anniversary Dear Arun and Lekha, We could write a book about all the happy times we have had with one or both of you, in India and in UK, over the years but will keep it as brief as possible. I (Shyam) was the one who announced the arrival of Arun in Okara by ringing the traditional bell (Thali). I had great times with you (Arun) before coming to UK in 1959. Most memorable were my stays at Century Flats in Bombay for whole of my summer vacation every year from 1953 to 1958. I can still see the delight in your face when you first introduced me to chips and tomato sauce in a café with a juke box on the Marine Drive. On my first visit back to India in 1966 with Muriel and little Paul we had the most memorable stay of 4-5 days with you in The Birla House in Calcutta. During last 50 years we have stayed in your house several times in Gwalior and Delhi. In 1973 we had 3-4 weeks with you when Priya was a baby. This included a memorable trip to Agra and Jaipur which Paul and Rachel remember vividly. Each of you has been to UK several times during these years. Arun may remember the drive through Grantham at 70mph to catch his train to London. Also his overnight trip to Morpeth to meet us and Nilu, staying up all night, because he could not leave Shri Sardar Singh in London on his own for very long. Lekha may remember the penny falls in the amusement park with Manjusha. Then there was the singing by 3 Bajoria ladies in Scotland and a walk on Hadrian’s wall at midnight with a torch. Finally we did stay with both of you at LBS in London. Last but not least, was the wonderful party organized by you, for our own Golden Wedding celebration in Delhi 5 years back. Bhabhi, Nandini, Taarini and Ishani helped to represent 4 generations. Congratulations for reaching this big milestone and hope that we will still be around to celebrate your diamond anniversary. This mixture went on to become the trademark of J.C.Mill’s canteen. These are some of the most cherished memories of that golden period which we were all privileged to be a part of and enjoyed to the fullest.
