Cat life : Skippity & Paps

Once upon a time, there were two kittens born in a park. Five months later, on a usual day for the mother cat and two kittens, \"I'll go look for food,\" said their mother. The two kittens, named Skippity and Paps, just nodded and then played while their mother was gone. The sun had set, yet their mother was still not home. They waited until midnight, then until the morning, then until the afternoon. Waiting turned into days, then weeks, and their mother never came home.

Four weeks after their mother left, a cat passes by and informs the two kittens that Luna was killed when she was hit by a car while crossing the street. During those times, the two had to look for their own food to survive. Most of the time they were mocked by Gilbert or other kittens for taking the only food they had. Skippity and Paps, due to pressure, brawl from time to time. \"our weeks since their mother left, a cat passes by and tells the two kittens that Luna died as she was hit by a car while passing across the street. During those times, the two had to look for their own food to survive. Most of the time they were mocked by Gilbert or other kittens for taking the only food they had. Skippity and Paps, due to pressure, brawl from time to time. \"Skippity, you coward! \"You let him take the food again!\" Paps said, \"He's dangerous; can't you see he can hurt us?\" Skippity said. Due to hunger, Paps continued and said, \"I hope you'll just disappear; I don't need a coward like you.\"

Skippity understood his anger but was distressed by what he heard. Paps left Skippity and didn't care; for days and weeks, Paps went to look for food, reaching a place far from the park. Until he felt concerned for his sibling, he decided to come home, reaching the park by midnight. Upon coming home, he saw Skippity's back, and he walked right to his side. However, to Paps' dismay, Skippity felt cold, had scratches, and wasn't breathing. Paps' tears started to fall, but Skippity stayed where he was standing; he did not leave even for a second when Paps left him. Because of his sadness, Paps stayed beside Skippity's body until he also crossed the rainbows.
