For Immediate Release Press Contact: [email protected] 770-387-2833ANNUAL MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOLS ART EXHIBITION ON VIEW AT BOOTH MUSEUM Student-artists representing ten area schools featured in exhibitionCARTERSVILLE, GA – Booth Western Art Museum is proud to announce the showing of the annualMiddle & High Schools Art Exhibition in Borderlands Gallery. On view through April 8, this exhibitfeatures the works of student-artists that are represented from our local city, county and private middleand high schools.“One of our goals is to provide resources and an outlet for artistic creativity in the youth of ourcommunity,” says Mersia Martin, Booth Museum Education Program Coordinator. “To this end we workwith local teachers and are excited to display the works of such talented students.”Throughout the year, art teachers in each middle and high school expose their students to a wide varietyof art mediums and challenging lessons. Each of the displayed artwork pieces have been created bystudents, grades six through twelve, throughout the 2017-2018 school year. Visitors to Booth Museumduring this show will see pieces of original art from paintings, collages, ceramic pieces, and more fromstudent-artists representing ten schools within Bartow County: Adairsville Middle and High Schools,Cartersville Middle and High Schools, Cass Middle and High Schools, Excel Middle and High School,South Central Middle School, and Woodland Middle School.An official exhibition opening reception for the student-artists and their families will be held on Thursday,March 15 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Booth Western Art Museum. Light refreshments will be available inthe Borderlands Meeting Room. The Middle & High Schools Art Exhibition will remain on display inBorderlands Gallery until April 8, 2018.
