Children’s Art Purchase Award A piece of artwork is selected from the three annual exhibitions of Bartow County student art displayed in the Borderlands Gallery: Kids Cowboy Up!, Primary & Elementary School Art Exhibit, and Middle & High School Art Exhibit. One piece is purchased from each exhibit; selected for excellence in composition, technical skill, execution, and subject matter. Winning artists receive a Purchase Award and have the distinction of being displayed in the Booth Museum’s Children’s Gallery. The Booth Western Art Museum hopes these examples of creativity and excellence in art will inspire visitors of all ages. The Booth Museum’s Education Department presents the 3rd Annual Purchase Award for the Kids Cowboy Up! Exhibition to three artists from the Hands of Christ, First Presbyterian Church afterschool Program: Allizzon Velasquez, Brayden Alonso, and Kniobe Portillo. These pieces will join other student works in the Booth Museum’s Children’s Gallery.

17th Annual Kids Cowboy Up! Exhibition The staff and volunteers of Booth Western Art Museum are dedicated to fostering a life-long appreciation of art and the American West among our youngest audiences. With this in mind, the Museum is pleased to present the 17th Annual Kids Cowboy Up! Exhibition featuring works of art by members of the Boys and Girls Club of Bartow County and the students attending the Hands of Christ After School Program The Kids Cowboy Up! collaboration began in early 2004 with the Museum holding the first exhibition in October of 2004. As part of our community outreach program, the Museum provides these groups with the opportunity to explore the Museum’s collection of Western art through tours and Museum resources. Education Outreach Coordinator, Lynnette Torres Ivey, then brings art making lessons and supplies to the group’s facilities where members are invited to create the artwork that is now displayed in this virtual exhibition. We congratulate the members of these two organizations whose artwork was chosen for this virtual exhibition. Please join us in celebrating these artists in their achievement of creating artwork that expresses imagination, quality craftsmanship, experimentation and creativity!
