The Gift Quilt by Gary Worthan Oil $1,600.00 The quilt that the Lakota woman is holding in my painting is a quilt that my 3rd great grandmother (Martha Jane Moody) cut the patterns in 1912 with the help of her great granddaughter and my grandmother. My grandma was 12 years old at the time. Those patterns laid stored in an old family trunk until 15 years ago. My mother, grandma's daughter, took the patterns to a quilt maker in Ellijay, had a beautiful quilt made and gifted it to me for my birthday. So, it is also a \"Gift Quilt\".
Santa Fe Gate by Don Van Pernis Oil on Canvas $300.00 Santa Fe Gate: This charming doorway, which is an entrance to a private courtyard and home, is probably the most well-known doorway in all of Santa Fe. I was attracted to the appearance of the architectural antiquity of the wall and weathered doorway allowing just a peek into another world. The walled front of the courtyard is on the famous Canyon Road while the doorway is on Delgado, which is a side street.
Brothers by Diana Dee Sarkar Graphite $1,585.00 This is a graphite drawing of two of the 6 fox kits that were born near to my house in the wooded yard in April 2021. Many hours were filled with joy watching them grow and explore their environment. For the past 4 years I have had the privilege to share this space with these wonderful animals. The foxes are a little shy, so playful and inquisitive about everything. As I studied them in preparations to draw and paint them, I learned they are very communicable. The mothers would take turns babysitting while the others would go to hunt and to take the older kits out to train in survival skills. In April, I had three mothers and six kits with several foxholes.
Doors Of Lindale Mill by Kathi Caspar Watercolor $395.00 Lindale Mill is a former textile mill located outside Rome GA. It was founded in 1896 and closed in 2001. The peeling turquoise paint on the heavy wooden doors of the boiler building juxtaposed with the weathered red brick was a painting challenge I couldn’t resist.
Just Resting by Diana Dee Sarkar Graphite $975.00 This is a graphite drawing of one of the 6 fox kits that were born near to my house in the wooded yard in April 2021. This little fox kit was comfortable with us out in the yard. I gave all the kits and adult foxes plenty of space so they felt safe. With many hours observing them I learned to identify each one, more by its individual personality than its physical appearance. They each had their own particular antics.
Casual Meeting by Hubert Wackermann Oil On Canvas $2,900.00 Stage coaches often rode through Native American territory. This was a chanceful encounter with them.
Copper Bellies by Marcia Dillard Graphite On Paper $260.00 I just completed a 6 week drawing class through the Booth Art Academy with BAG member Nikki Davidson. I’ve been painting for over 12 years but the simplicity of graphite is both calming and interesting to me. Nikki had the photo of “Copper Bellies” and I loved it. With her permission, I have recreated it in graphite.
Magical Colors Of Ghost Ranch II by Ludmila (Luda) Harrison Watercolor $615.00 In September 2019, we had a fantastic trip to New Mexico with group of artist’s friends. We stayed at Ghost Ranch - Georgia O’Keefe’s country- for a week and enjoyed painting beautiful sunsets, landscape, special atmosphere…Chimney Rock that I painted here. Totally understand now why she loved this place- it’s magical! Dreaming of New Mexico!
47 Ford by Linda Riddle Watercolor $155.00 This old 47 Ford is located in the yard of a historic home known as the Lemon House (because of its color) in a neighborhood just behind downtown Acworth, Georgia. I photographed this one to paint later as it sits on private property. I enjoy painting old trucks and cars and was happy with the way this one turned out.
Paris Street by Martha Choate Oil On Linen Panel $425.00 Walking along the streets of Paris is an adventure. There are many sidewalk cafes, all calling you to stop and stay awhile!
Four Jugs by Linda Riddle Acrylic $175.00 I am a member of a photographic website for artists to use for painting, and I found the reference photo for these jugs on that site. I was attracted to their bright colors, even though they appear to be old jugs, and they reminded me of Italy where I toured a few years back.
English Pastures by Judy Cooper Oil $275.00 I’m attracted to European landscapes created by the old masters. The mountain vistas, the clump of large trees, the stream and the grazing sheep make this a pleasing English Landscape that the old masters would have painted.
The Comfy Chair by Susan Gore Gardner Pastel $400.00 \"The Comfy Chair\" invites the viewer into the sitting room of my friends Richard & Donna Ellis who live in Mansfield, England. They were my kind & generous hosts on my very first visit to England, allowing me to stay in their home and sharing true British hospitality with me. The sitting room was the location for many a good conversation and this irresistible chair of Richard's was indeed the comfiest chair in the room. Discreetly observing us from near the door is Puss 'N Boots, their delightful cat.
Tia Theresa: Goddess Of Tacos by Wendy Herubin Oil OnCanvas $3,200.00 My family loves tacos...anytime, all the time. When our three children were home I never made less than 75 tacos sometimes there would be leftovers. Often I found tacos in the fridge hidden in other food packages or in Tupperware with hand written threats to anyone that would dare to eat. The boys would have taco eating contests, friends were invited to partake in the tacos bliss. A true testament to our love for tacos. These days the children have grown and gone, I no longer make 75+ tacos (whew!)...just 10-12 for the hubby and me (yes, we have leftovers but we do not hide them). Tia Theresa, Goddess of Tacos hangs in my kitchen as a testament to times gone by and as a greeting to all that enter.
Morning Light-Grand Canyon by Jackie Langford Watercolor $2,800.00 Lamar Valley-Yellowstone National Park by Jackie Langford Watercolor $2,800.00
Carousel by Pat Stephenson Acrylic & Oil $350.00 This was inspired by a magazine article published in 1980. It was originally painted in 1998 and had been stored for quite some time. Since I had no young children in the house to appreciate it, I retrieved it, refreshed the paint and varnished it. All of us have memories of riding a Merry-Go-Round so this painting is meant for that purpose or to brighten a young child's room.
All Squared Away by Beth Blackwell Cullen Oil $375.00 All Squared Away: My husband orders shirts from an online store and we receive their catalogs in the mail. I was drawn to the various colors, lines and patterns of their pocket squares, so I contacted the company for permission to paint from their photograph. They were very enthusiastic and supportive with their approval.
Green Apples by Sandra Babb Oil $175.00 Green Apples was a fun expressive painting done when the artist purchased a casual farm garden bouquet from The Flower Chicks on Salem Valley Road in Catoosa County. As the flowers were set into grandmother's old blue pitcher, it begged to be painted several times. Five paintings were rapidly painted to get the bright colors before they faded. It was with great joy this was painted to be an expression of Summer.
Molly the Marine by Suzanne Economopoulos Oil $600.00 My husband, who was a Marine Major in Viet Nam, and I were in San Diego and were invited to attend the Marine Corp graduation ceremony. A better representation of American youth would be hard to imagine; except, of course for the graduation class of any branch of the American military. Molly, the Marine Corp mascot, was brought out and watched the graduation with as much pride as we did.
Til the Cows Come Home by Donna Zander Oil On Linen $300.00 Ferriere is a small farm community In the French Alps outside of Annecy. Every late afternoon the cows return home from a nearby pasture. I soon hope to return to my friend’s home and look outside waiting til the cows come home.
