The Valedictory function of the Society for the session 2020-2021 was organized on January 18, 2022. The event started with opening remarks by Ms Priyanka Barua, followed by virtual Saraswati Vandana. Teacher in-charge of Department of Botany, Dr Aparna Nautiyal extended welcome remarks to the invited speaker and all the participants. Our Vice-Principal, Prof Kamal Kumar Gupta also addressed the audience. The invited speaker was introduced by Ms Tanya Saxena. The Guest speaker for the event Dr Anjula Pandey, Principal Scientist, Division of Plant Exploration and Germplasm Collection, ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi delivered a highly informative and captivating talk on “Economic Botany and Plant Genetic Resources: National Perspective”. It was followed by an interactive session moderated by Vice-President of the Council Shreyansh Gupta. The annual magazine was also released in virtual mode, followed by introduction and virtual felicitation of the council members for the session with the e-Certificates. Dr Aditya Saxena, IQAC Coordinator of our college addressed the gathering and congratulated the Council for successful execution of the event. At the end of the event, Society President, Ms DNSS Srilatha proposed a formal vote of thanks. The valedictory event was concluded with National Anthem. 120 | P a g e
