COVER STORY OPENING OF NEW BUSINESS AVIATION CENTRE AT SELETAR AIRPORT On 29 April 2019, SATS announced the official launch of the Business Aviation Centre (BAC) at Seletar Airport. BAC is managed by SATS Seletar Aviation Services Pte Ltd (SSAS), a joint venture company SATS formed with Jet Aviation (Asia Pacific) and Universal Singapore Aviation Services. More than 100 guests from the private jet industry turned up for the opening ceremony. Mr Greg Evans, Chairman of Universal Weather and Aviation Inc., had also taken time off to fly down from Houston with his family to grace and jointly open the event with SATS PCEO Mr. Alex Hungate. The flight movements for business aviation is expected to grow 3-5% year-on-year. To date, SSAS has handled more than 4,000 flight movements since its first flight at Seletar Airport on 19 November 2018, of which close to 70% is business aviation. Passenger services at BAC are personalised to meet the unique needs of private jet customers for discretion, privacy and speed. Purposefully designed to get a passenger out of the airport or up on a plane in a jiffy, the process of baggage handling, security checks and immigration clearance is managed by SSAS Customer Service personnel, while passengers relax in the comfort of the luxuriously furnished BAC lounge. SATS is proud to be part of this exciting new development at Selatar Airport. 2

Upon successful completion of the assessment, applicants will receive a certificate from the NSDC and AASSC. The RPL platform will facilitate AISATS to provide additional recognition to its employees. Recognition of Previous Learning (RPL) is a flagship program under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). SINGAPORE CREATING MILESTONES RECORD SHIPMENT WEIGHT OF 38 TONNE VESSEL PART FROM FRANKFURT TO SINGAPORE AirBridgeCargo Airlines transported a record shipment weight – a 38 tonne vessel part – from Frankfurt to Singapore on 19 March 2019. The SATS Freighter Specialist Team provided all the operational support to ensure its smooth handling. The AirBridgeCargo Airline Singapore Team complimented the team, saying, “On behalf of AirBridgeCargo Airlines, many thanks to everyone who was involved in flight RU235 – SVO-SIN-SGN. We greatly appreciate the support provided. We have all became a part of a wonderful success story – from aircraft inbound, airside ground handling, as well as outbound flight personnel, who were all within schedule. BRINGING COLOURS TO SCOOT’S ENGAGEMENT DAY This year, SATS APS brought some colour to the annual Cabin Crew Engagement Day for Scoot, held on 3 April 2019, as the theme of the event was “Neon”. Many cabin crew members came dressed up for the theme, fighting for spots in the event’s “Best Dressed” and “Face Paint” categories. During the event, the winners of the “Top 30 Cabin Crew” award were recognised for exceeding the sales performance of their cohort. One of the highlights of the event was the product training sessions conducted by suppliers, as cabin crew got the opportunity to learn more about the products being uplifted onboard. The event proved to be a success with a high turnout of cabin crew and suppliers, and served as a forum for interactive engagement. The cabin crew were also rewarded with goodie bags filled with exciting new products from suppliers. It was truly a fun-filled and joyful occasion as we celebrated the cabin crew’s efforts in driving onboard retail sales. 7
CREATING MILESTONES CELEBRATION OF TURKISH’S AIRLINES’ MOVE TO THE NEW ISTANBUL AIRPORT On 6 April 2019, Turkish Airlines moved to their new home at Istanbul Airport. To commemorate this special day, there was a small celebration for the last flight-carrying passengers from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Singapore. SATS is proud to be a part of this key moment in Turkish Airlines’ history. SATS WELCOMES HAINAN AIRLINES SATS is proud to be appointed as the catering partner to Hainan Airlines (HU) from 31 March 2019. To celebrate this milestone, SATS presented a celebratory cake to mark the start of this new partnership. AISATS COOLPORT RECEIVES “INTEGRATED COLD CHAIN MANAGEMENT AWARD” FROM THE INDIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AISATS COOLPORT received the “Integrated Cold Chain Management Award” from the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) at the 9th Annual Supply Chain & Logistics Summit & Excellence Awards 2019, an initiative started by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in 2011 to recognise the best performers in the supply chain and logistics sector.
