APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS The freedom enjoyed by us today is the result of the immense sacrifice of innumerable freedom fighters and the enormous struggle faced by our leaders for decades. To instil a strong sense of commitment towards the nation and to commemorate Azadi ka Mahotsav proclaimed by the Government of India, Apeejay School Panchsheel Park organised a plethora of activities ranging from Slogan Writing, Poem Recitation, Flag making to Sketch of Freedom Fighters from August 1 to 13, 2022. Under the able guidance of our Principal Mr Sandeep Singh Kathuria, Vice–Principal Ms. Shalini Agarwal and Primary and Middle school Incharge Ms, Shweta Oberoi, the celebrations commenced with great zeal and zest. Students recited renditions of various motivating poems as part of Poem Recitation. The recitation with perfect modulation greatly evoked the spirit of patriotism. They also painted the school in the colours of the Tricolour through Slogan Writing and Sketch Making which was part of the array of activities conducted as a prequel to the 75th Independence Day celebration. As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga, a Campaign Flag Making Activity was also held in each class. Talented artists of the school made sketches of various freedom fighters reminding one and all of the pillars behind our sovereignty. Havaldar Tabeet Singh (3 Delhi Girls Bn NCC) distributed flags to NCC cadets. Enthused with patriotism students and teachers went on Prabhat Pheri to the neighbourhood adjoining the school premises on 13 August 2022. The celebrations culminated with the celebration of Independence Day. The school Grounds looked resplendent with NCC cadets and all students standing in position as the flag was unfurled and hoisted by the Vice Principal Ms. Shalini Agarwal followed by the National Anthem. In her address on the occasion, Ms. Shalini Agarwal urged students to realize our coveted freedom and work towards achieving the goals of a progressive nation. The entire school campus resounded with chants of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ followed by the singing of patriotic songs. Later during the day, students of classes 6 to 8 enthusiastically participated in ‘Flag making by Hand printing ‘. The gamut of activities included a special assembly held by classes 9A and B after the unfurling and hoisting of the flag. The excitement and fervour of students were palpable as the students of class 9 made the audience realize the importance of preserving our freedom. An Inter- House Vocal music and Dance Competition based on the theme of ‘ Patriotism’ energised the students and urged them to cherish our precious motherland. The school Principal, Mr. Sandeep Singh Kathuria in his address urged students to emulate the values of our great leaders who played a pivotal role in helping India gain Independence. It was a day of great joy and immense pride for the school staff and students.
APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2022- 23 “If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are an excellent leader” Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park hosted its annual ‘Investiture Ceremony’ for the academic year 2022-23 on 10th August 2022. It is a prestigious occasion where the newly appointed Prefect Body of the Student Council steps into the leadership role and pledges to deliver their duties sincerely thus striving to bring about a positive change in the school environment. These young trailblazers motivate and guide other students on how to create a difference with their problem-solving, organisational and communication skills. The programme began on a solemn note with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a welcome dance to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Monica Priyadarshini IAS, presently working as the DM South whose brief introduction was given by Mrs. Shalini Agarwal, Vice Principal. This was followed by the exchange of duties between the outgoing Head Boy and Head Girl and the incoming Head boy and Head Girl who were later on joined by the student council members on the dais. The oath of office was administered by the school Principal, Mr. Sandeep Singh Kathuria who congratulated the students, bestowed upon them the responsibility of the prestigious badges and inspired them to serve their school to the best of their abilities. The occasion was attended by the proud parents of the elected Student Council Members and the members of the PTA. The colourful display of the flags and the enthralling dance performance of the students were a visual treat to the eyes of the audience. The parting words of the outgoing Head Boy and the Head Girl were in perfect balance with the words of their successors. They not only resonated in the hearts of the students but also left an indelible mark. The event was made further special by adding a tinge of patriotism to it where the tricolour flag was distributed to the NCC cadets by Principal Sir to celebrate the 75th year of independence. The programme reached its culmination with the auditorium reverberating with the school anthem to raise the spirits of the students and remind them of the motto 'Soaring high is my nature.'

APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 DIGITALIZATION OF SCHOOL LIBRARIES - PHASE II The Training Program ‘Digitalization of School Libraries’- Phase 2 was organized by Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park on 27th August’22. The program was honoured by Mr. Garg, Senior Education Advisor, Mr. Bedi, Education Officer, Mr. Amitava Misra, Director of IT, Mr. Tiwari, Education Officer and Resource Person Mr. Vijay Pratap Singh. The Librarian of 8 APJ Schools participated in the training program of Koha Software. The workshop was arranged mainly for learning the use of Koha Management Software for better Library Services. Mr. Garg expressed his views about Library Information which is a continuous learning process and we should keep updating ourselves with the latest trends. He also shared his farsighted vision and his deep interest in value-based education with Apeejay librarians. Mr. Bedi mentioned about library culture of a school and suggested to librarians that there is an immense need for a collaborative, innovative Project-based approach to redesign the Apeejay Libraries. Mr Tiwari mentioned that to inculcate reading habits subject teachers should refer students to good books and provide them with a suggested reading list. Live interaction between Mr. Vijay Pratap Singh and the participants guided to clear all the queries in a blended mode. The knowledge imparted regarding multiple modules including Patron List which is the main lock of KOHA Software. Patron Import Tool helps to add patrons in a bulk and how to import data when a new batch of students appears. Mr. Vijay explained NOTICES and Circulation Slips, Patron Card Creator, Patron Batch Modification and how to upload Images of staff and students in bulk and also explained the Usage of the Calendar Module. Important Module Serials, Reports and Acquisition were discussed. The acquisition module, on the other hand, enables the technical service department to be efficient in selecting, evaluating, budgeting and ordering resources. Checking-in and checking-out tasks are integrated with the OPAC such that borrowers are able to identify which resources are due for return. In addition, automatic alerts remind patrons about overdue resources. Koha has an excellent user interface and can be customised to suit the peculiar needs of the institutions and also provides offline modules and backup of files on a daily basis. Mr. Bedi emphasised that computerization of the library helps to reduce the workload of library staff and results in quick service through the use of Koha software and also facilitates easy and quick access to books, journals and other publications and automation helps the library to be more flexible. All these modules are very helpful in order to achieve efficient, equitable and effective use of library resources.
APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 MAHABEHES NATIONALS 2022 The “Behes Debate Series”, well known as the “India’s Largest School Debate Community” conducts a series of debates each month which rewards the top teams with qualification to the MahaBehes, the season finals held every year. The debate format is designed to be interactive, relatable and challenging. In short, the debates are conducted in teams of three each and a resource guide is provided to the teams at the very start of the season, on the day of the conference: The argument side (For/Against) is decided with a coin toss, after which the motion open to debate revels and both the competing teams are provided with 15 minutes to prepare for their respective speeches timed at 4 minutes each. Each side then alternates with the speakers and presents their side of the argument, in hopes of convincing the adjudicator. This year, the Behes’22 Regionals were concluded on the 4th and 5th of June and the MahaBehes’22(Season Final: Nationals) was held on the 25th and 26th of June’22. The winning team “L001: NO TEAM, BYE” had three speakers: 1stSpeaker: Pranav Gaikwad (Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park) 2ndSpeaker: R. Akanksha (Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park) 3rd Speaker: Aditya Gandhi (Venkateshwar Global School, Rohini) At the end of two eventful days, competing with over 90 individuals representing 30 teams and clean sweeping the 7 debate challenges, the team was titled the MahaBehes’22 Nationals Champion! APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 PROJECT WINGS “Being unaware of menstrual hygiene is one of the biggest threats to the health of women. Let us make them aware of it.’’. To spread awareness about menstrual hygiene, the Interact Club of Apeejay School Panchsheel Park conducted Project Wings on 27th August 2022 to spread awareness among pre-teen and adolescent girls about menstruation and menstrual hygiene through an interactive and informative webinar with Dr. Sonal Gupta, Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She has an experience of over 12 years. She is a veteran of open and laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries along with obstetric cases. Currently, she is working with Gendox Hospital, Mehrauli and Aakash Hospital, Malviya Nagar. The doctor spoke about menstrual hygiene and its importance and the myths and misconceptions revolving around this. The webinar was conducted for classes 5-7 and was attended by the girls and their mothers. It was a highly enriching and informative webinar for all the students. KOREAN TAEKWONDO With the support of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture, the Republic of Korea, Korean Cultural Centre, India has launched Korean Taekwondo classes for Indian schools. Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park has started a regular class with 35 students of grade 6th, twice a week. The classes co mmenced on April 6, 2022 with Taekwondo Instructor Mr Mahesh. Taekwondo for children is an outstanding martial art that teaches self-defence, discipline, and confidence. It is the perfect antidote to bullying, letting your child embrace self-confidence and develop a strong sense of self through martial arts training. This course aims at teaching the fundamentals of Taekwondo to children. The practice sessions at the school will help each child to develop physical fitness and mental resilience.

APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 INTER HOUSE ACHIEVEMENTS INTER HOUSE DANCE AND VOCAL MUSIC COMPETITIONS Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, organized the Inter-House Dance and Vocal Music competitions for classes VI to XII on 13th August to celebrate and commemorate 75 glorious years of India’s independence. The auditorium and the entire campus reverberated with the patriotic songs as the students of all four houses- Akbar, Ashoka, Tagor e and Viveknanda enthusiastically joined in celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava, an initiative of the government of India, as part of the Independence Day celebrations. Inter House Solo Dance Competition ignited the patriotic fervour in the vivacious students. Dressed in tricolour costumes, the students twirled around to the tunes of Indian patriotic songs and set the stage on fire with their thrilling performances. The Inter House Vocal Music Competition rekindled the sense of pride in their nation and the spirit of sacrifice made by countless Indians. The competitions inspired young minds to develop secular cultural values while preserving the rich heritage of the country. Speaking on the occasion, the school Vice Principal, Ms Shalini Agrawal, exhorted everyone to remember that many valiant and precious lives had been lost during the freedom struggle. APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 SPECIAL ASSEMBLY Freedom in the mind, With this patriotic spirit, the students of 9th Faith in the words, A and 9th B presented their class assembly to Pride in our souls. celebrate the 75th Independence Day of Let's salute the nation India. on this auspicious day” The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity through diverse participation in patriotic songs, poem, thought, speech and dance. The ceremony began with a brief introduction on the significance of this day followed by a recreation of the auspicious moment when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru rendered his speech ' Tryst with Destiny' on 15th August 1947 as Prime Minister of free India. The assembly was carried forward with the melodious choir presenting songs, which ignited patriotic fervour and spirit amongst all. Music was in the air as they harmoniously sang 'Swarg se sunder desh humara' and 'Saare jahaan se accha'. Students also presented a skit wherein young actors convincingly essayed the role of Mahatma Gandhi and Pingali Venkayya, narrating the origin and evolution of the Indian National Flag. Keeping in mind the patriotic sentiments of the occasion, a mesmerizing fusion of classical and contemporary dance was presented by the students in graceful tricoloured outfits. It not only captivated the audience but also garnered thunderous applause from all. The program culminated with the encouraging words of Principal Sir and Vice Principal Ma'am who urged the students to become proud and responsible citizens of India.
APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 PRIMARY WING I AM A PATRIOT-POEM RECITATION Recitation aids in developing speaking skills and expressing their feelings. With an aim to develop personality and oratory skills in the young Apeejayites a poem recitation activity was organized for the students of Grade 2 and 3 on the theme 'I am a patriot'. The enthusiastic children were dressed in tricolour attire for the Poem Recitation- I am a patriot. Children recited poems related to patriotism with pride for the country. They were dressed in tricolour attire and used props to make their poem presentation interesting. They also learned about our national symbols, the significance of our tricolour national flag and our national anthem through engaging in interactive discussions, pictures and props. They were also told about the upcoming flag hoisting ceremony and celebrations to commemorate this national festival. Each and every child participated, wooing the audience with their enchanting performance. The students received valuable training in complex oratory skills and took pride in showcasing their talent in the most joyful way.
APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 EVENTS YOUNG JOURNALIST COMPETITION The Young Journalist Competition was organized for the students in Grade 4 and 5 to create awareness in them about the latest happenings around the world. Students participated with full vigour and zeal and spoke on the burning topics of current times. They dressed up as journalists and news reporters, using the virtual background of the Newsroom. They used interesting music and other technical tools to present their work with full confidence. Some of the common topics were girl empowerment, Vaccination of COVID-19 and Environmental degradation, etc. Judges were highly impressed by the way children showcased their work and rewarded the winners with certificates. RAKHI MAKING ACTIVITY- GRADE IV & V 'Raksha Bandhan' is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. To stren gthen the bond of relationships, Rakhi Making Activity was organized at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park for the primary students. The students brought different articles like silk thread, ribbons, etc to make rakhis. It was quite fascinating to see their artisanship as they were full of happiness and joy by preparing rakhi with their own hands and enjoyed the activity with their peers. Such activities enhance the knowledge of children about the festival and its importance.

The students spread festive cheer as they presented beautiful bhajans and an enthralling dance performance. It was also a learning experience for them as they understood the importance of karma and the victory of good over evil. MATKI DECORATION ACTIVITY- GRADE 2 TO 5 Janmashtami celebrations from mythological times have involved matkis as the 'Gopis' used to carry colourful matkis in Vrindavan. To celebrate the festival of Janmashtami, Matki Decoration activity was held for the students of classes 2 to 5. Students created a beautiful and inspiring combination of colours and patterns in different designs on pots and on their drawing books with sparkling materials.
APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 EVENTS GANESH CHATURTHI \"Ganesha the remover of obstacles and bestower of prosperity\"!! Festivals build group cohesiveness. Festivals inform, educate, bring people together, break the monotony of routine and give us a chance to re-energize our body, mind, and spirit. Of all the festivals, Ganesh Chaturthi is the most colo urful festival. Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival that marks the birthday of Lord Ganesha. People believe that Lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom bestows his presence on Earth during this festival and removes their obstacles. With such belief, a primary wing of Apeejay School Panchsheel Park organised Puja and a special assembly. The sole purpose of the celebration was to let the students stay rooted in Indian culture and to enable them to understand the significance of this festival. The celebrations began with Ganesh Shloka and Arti. Children of the primary wing presented phenomenal dance performances. The graceful expressions given by the students on a devotional song were really breathtaking and won the hearts of the audience. There was devotion, creativity and fun altogether. Children spoke about the importance of this festival and the uses of eco- friendly Ganesha were also explained during the celebrations. Principal sir in his address highlighted that the true essence of Ganesh Chaturthi lies in the fact that the devotees worship Ganesha to rid their lives of all sins and substitute them with knowledge and wisdom. APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 EVENTS LEARNING ABOUT MENSTRUATION A workshop on mensuration or periods was conducted for students of class 5 students and was held on 27th August. The workshop was to train and guide students about the correct usage of sanitation. Students were also told about the proper placement of their sanitary pads. Myths and Misconceptions about periods were discussed on bathing, type of food, hygie ne during periods, and washing their genitals during periods. Students enquired about the period cycle, different apps available to check their period dates, and the usage of different brands for sanitation. Students were taught about puberty, secondary sexual characters and its development also they were told about how to prepare their bags with all the sanitation things while travelling. Disposal of their sanitary pad was also taught to them. Students saw videos on whom to approach when they have their periods for the first time, sanitation methods, hygiene etc. SADBHAVANA DIWAS Sadbhavana Diwas pledge was taken by all the students in school assembly and in classes both in English and Hindi on August 18, 2022. Children also shared their though ts about the pledge taken by them.

While performing the activity the students were able to learn how these soldiers protect our country from enemies on land, water and air. It was a great learning experience for the students. My Family and Me- Adjectives To understand and learn more about describing words, students were asked to bring any picture of their family member/ friend and use describing words to write a paragraph on them. Students used their creativity and enjoyed doing the same!

Such activities enhance their skills of exploration and invite curiosity amongst children to know more about their country. Let's get verbal with VERBS The students of class III thoroughly enjoyed doing the art-integrated activity in which they were encouraged to write down words that talk about an action or what they do. Verbs are very important for language development as they enable children to build sentences. The students used different coloured paper strips to write down verbs on A-4 size sheets. It was a great learning experience for them.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the activity. Our Bazaar As part of AIL, the students of class 4 created their own bazaar of electronic items.The students fixed the prices of their items and then compared the market prices of the same items. The activities introduced the children to basic concepts like shopping, saving and budgeting. The activity is a great way to develop money management skills and financial literacy among the students.

The students prepared a collage with cut-outs of places of tourist attractions in the Southern Plateau. On the other side of the sheet, they located the states which are part of the Southern Plateau. It was a great learning experience for the students and they thoroughly enjoyed it. FUN WITH FAMILY - CLASS 5 The most important thing in the world is family and love.” –John Wooden. They identified the ingredients used to make the food item and recall the nutrients present in them. They also spoke about the importance of these nutrients for giving us a fit and healthy body. This activity helped them in recognising the nutrients in the food they were eating and also realized the importance of eating healthy. Inventions by Indian Mathematicians The students of class 5 prepared bright and colourful collages on the topic of Concepts given to the World by Indian Mathematicians. The project gave an opportunity for the students to enhance their knowledge beyond textbooks and do independent research work. They were able to appreciate the contributions made by great Indian Mathematicians and acknowledge that the mathematical ideas that originated in India had a thoughtful impact on the World.
APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 Investiture Ceremony 2022- 23 “If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are an excellent leader” Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park hosted its annual ‘Investiture Ceremony’ for the academic year 2022- 23 on 10th August 2022. It is a prestigious occasion where the newly appointed Prefect Body of the Student Council steps into the leadership role and pledges to deliver their duties sincerely thus striving to bring about a positive change in the school environment. These young trailblazers motivate and guide other students on how to create a difference with their problem-solving, organisational and communication skills. The programme began on a solemn note with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a welcome dance to invoke the blessin gs of the Almighty. The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Monica Priyadarshini IAS, presently working as the DM South whose brief introduction was given by Mrs. Shalini Agarwal, Vice Principal. This was followed by the exchange of duties between the outgoing Head Boy and Head Girl and the incoming Head boy and Head Girl who were later on joined by the student council members on the dias. The oath of office was administered by the school Principal, Mr. Sandeep Singh Kathuria who congratulated the students, bestowed upon them the responsibility of the prestigious badges and inspired them to serve their school to the best of their abilities. The occasion was attended by the proud parents of the elected Student Council Members and the members of the PTA. The colourful display of the flags and the enthralling dance performance of the students were a visual treat to the eyes of the audience. The parting words of the outgoing Head Boy and the Head Girl were in perfect balance with the words of their successors. They not only resonated in the hearts of the students but also left an indelible mark. The event was made further special by adding a tinge of patriotism to it where the tricolour flag was distributed to the NCC cadets by Principal Sir to celebrate the 75th year of independence. APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV HAR GHAR TIRANGA Our Nation is celebrating the 75th Independence Day. To celebrate the diverse culture, history and achievements of India, the government initiated the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign. To commemorate this series of events, activities and assemblies were planned in school under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav- Har Ghar Tiranga. Primary School has organized an assembly to give respect to our National Flag and to know the history of Tiranga. The Tri-colour flag is a symbol of pride for every Indian. It represents national integrity and signifies the hopes and aspirations of the Indian people. Children have presented a plethora of performances like patriotic dance presentation, patriotic songs, speech on national integrity and talk on the history of the National Flag. Children sang 'Har Ghar Tiranga' song with great pride holding the National Flag in hand. Children sang the song and took an ode to the strength & grace of our Tiranga. This song has rekindled a sense of pride & love for the nation. DOVE A SYMBOL OF PEACE WITH TIRANGA The Primary Wing of Apeejay School Panchsheel Park celebrated the 75th Independence with great patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. It was a treat to watch the little kids all clad in tricolour symbolizing our national flag. APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 ASSEMBLY PROGRESSIVE INDIA – SHORT ASSEMBLY 2C To celebrate the 75th Independence Day, students of grade 2C conducted a short assembly. The day started with the school prayer followed by news, thoughts and word of the day. The students recited various poems, enacted as a soldier and freedom fighters, presented a patriotic song, gave a tour of India and lastly a mind-blowing dance performance on Jai Ho. SHORT ASSEMBLY – PATRIOTISM A school assembly on \"Patriotism: Love for Motherland\" was conducted by students of grade 2 to show their love and pride for their nation and to pay tribute to our great freedom fighters. The assembly commenced with thought for the day, word of the day, news, poem recitation, skit and a dance performance. The students actively took part in it with full enthusiasm.

Happy Friendship Day is the most astounding feeling in the world and to express that love, kindness, and support to a friend, students of Pre- primary and Grade1 were engaged in a Card Making Activity where they were instilled with the value of sharing and caring amongst each valuable relationship that they step in. Beautiful cards were made by students to express and mizzle their affection towards their friends. This activity generated a feeling of care and warmth in children making the day filled with love.
APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 EVENTS Rakshabandhan Celebration Rakshabandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between a brother and a sister. To strengthen this bond 'Rakhi Making Activity was conducted for Pre-primary on August 10, 2022. They all decorated their Rakhi with their tiny hands and expressed their true love for the people who take care of them like house help, security guard, family members etc. Independence Day “Freedom is never given; it is won ‘with this inspiring thought the morning of Independence day started with a grand morning assembly to inculcate the spirit of patriotism. Our nursery class students had a number of hands-on activities. To pay a tribute to the legends, a show & tell activity was organised in which students dressed up as their favourite legends and spoke a few lines about them. To further raise the spirit of patriotism a Tri-colour sandwich-making activity was conducted for the students where they made the sandwiches with bread, cucumber, cheese, mayonnaise and carrot in a very fun-filled and interesting manner. The sandwich was full of nutritious vegetables and taught the children the importance of eating healthy and the significance of the three colours of the Indian flag. K ite making activity The aim of conducting this activity is to promote creativity among kindergarteners. The learners were asked to be ready with the required materials for the activity. They were geared up to make tri-coloured kites which brought happiness, excitement and a feeling of patriotism. It was a colourful sight to watch the assortment of tri-coloured kites by our lovely learners.
APEEJAY SCHOOL, PANCHSHEEL PARK// AUGUST 2022 EVENTS Dress up according to the state India is a land of diverse cultures and all its endeavours are held high by the unity of Indians. During festivals and celebrations, people usually turn to their folk dance and traditional dresses and to celebrate the diversity of India, students of grade one came dressed in their state's ethnic attire. It was amazing to see students dressed up in beautiful traditional dresses that are specific to their state and community. Children further talked about the dresses they were wearing. Kitchenette Activity A ladoo-making activity was conducted on 8 August. This was to provide a platform for the learner to foster their activities and explore new areas of interest. The Kindergarteners were excited to wear an apron and use a table mat while making ladoos with coconut powder and milkmaid. This made them feel happy and proud to see the colours of their Tricolour national flag. His torical walk A PPT on our historical monuments was shown to the students. In the PowerPoint presentation, there were pictures of Charminar, Tajmahal, Hawa Mahal, Redfort etc. This historical walk provoked our kindergarteners to think about the existence of every historical structure and made them aware about the cultural heritage of India.

Its trials and tribulations, joys and sorrows, hopes and losses… are all reminiscent of what life takes us through. Sport builds and reveals the character of humans. It also serves as a great teacher. Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park celebrated the National Sports Day on 29th Aug 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Dhyan Chand Singh. This day is aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of physical activities and sports in life. Sports not only build character but also serve as great teachers and motivators. Children were told about the importance of celebrating National sports day. The physical education teachers conducted live gaming sessions for the students of preschool and Grade 1. Where children had fun and learned about team spirit. Janmashtami Celebration To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janamashtami was celebrated at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park by Grade 1 with mirth and joy. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, the students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, and decorated their matkis with beautiful mirrors, stars, ribb ons etc. They stuffed cotton in it to represent white butter. A letter-writing activity was conducted where children wrote letters to their friend Krishna asking him to bless them to be naughty with little mischief but full of wisdom.

It encouraged them to make observations and understand that light objects float and heavy objects sink. Vegetable printing Vegetable printing is a simple art that even small children can try out. Children acquire a variety of knowledge through painting activities. The tiny tots of our school express their ideas and use their senses to explore and create aesthetically pleasing work and experiences. Our kindergartners also discussed the importance of eating green vegetables for a healthy and happy life. This activity made the young ones creative and taught them to appreciate nature for providing us with many valuable things. Collage m aking: Famous personality To celebrate the spirit of Independence the Tricolour in a glass experiment was conducted on 8th Aug 2022, it was a fun experiment as children get to learn that simply by changing the quantity of sugar in a liquid, they can change it’s density so that the layers of coloured water remain apart until the glass is shaken.
