What’s been one of your biggest “wins”at the winery? Vintage 2005 - this has to be the highlightof my vigneron career, so far! This vintage,2018, I think will go very close to, or maybeeven eclipse 2005 - only time will tell. Everyblock and variety in ’05 was awesome, noexceptions. It was marked with the firstrelease of a Reserve Pinot Noir and ReserveChardonnay from Bream Creek. We’vereleased very few Reserve wines over the25+ years - they have to earn their stripes!2020 will mark your 30th year withBream Creek. Any goals leading to thatmilestone? By that time I want to have renovated moreof the trellis system and planted a bit morepinot noir. But when that time comes, what Iwould really like to do is to mark the occasionby gathering together those friends andcolleagues that have walked this journeywith me, and to sit at the top of the vineyard,overlooking Marion Bay and Maria Island,and share some of the wines we’ve producedover the years - and just relax a little while!Has the Tasmanian wine industry evolved Where do you see the best opportunities What are you loving in the Bream Creekinto all you’d envisaged for it? for the state moving forward?
